Boris Johnson, the UK Foreign Secretary, under the spotlight in Russian collusion case

This is potentially absolutely huge news. Johnson has apparently had meetings with Papadopoulos and maybe others who are implicated. To those who don't know, this is significant due to Russia desiring the breakup of the EU, and Boris being at least the 2nd most senior Leave Campaign spin doctor, a man who has also continuously lied about the EU and has sold my country down the drain.

The thought of seeing Boris get taken out by something like this gets me rock hard.
Oh fuck off, Russia.
I'm still confused what this means after reading the article other than ha ha what the actual fuck.
I swear to fucking christ if we find out here Russia has tried to influence us I will lose my fucking shit.
will 2018 be the reversal of brexit and the imprisonment of donald trump and all his cronies and global condemnation of russia?
How deep does this fucking rabbit hole go
oh god the irony if the Conservatives turn out to be closer to Russia than Corbyn is

I'd honestly be surprised if they haven't tried.
I don't even know what's going on any more.

As with Trump supporters, Brexit supporters either won't care that Russia interfered or will dismiss it as a conspiracy theory. No matter how much evidence you present.
This story kind of puts a whole new perspective on this tweet:

Does it really surprise anyone that Trump and the Brexit crew would associate with each other if they're both being aided by Russia?
Can we cancel Brexit yet?

Fuck, you're possibly onto something deeper here. I knew they were all pro-Brexit but had not really considered that in relation to this new information. Obviously, Brexit is generally favoured more the further right one goes, but it is still quite suspicious that they are fairly intimately involved with one another politically considering so many things that should divide them.

We don't deserve that best timeline
Whatever government comes after Trump, I hope they crack down on Russia hard.

We've known that Farage has been a person of interest for the Russian interference investigation for a while now.
Now we know that more broadly that the UKIP was involved in general, and that Le Pen was being bankrolled by Moscow.
What's more is that we've known about a lot of these connections before the elections.
It makes total sense that there would have been other types of engineering behind the scenes than just the already well-documented cyber warfare and social engineering side. People will go down for this and I would imagine the Electoral Commission investigation into Arron Banks will eventually share intelligence with Mueller's investigation. This might end up being just the most satisfying timeline.

Russia is trying to take over the world.
Seems pretty obvious tbh.

This has to be my favourite Trump tweet based on the sheer confusion it caused. Anti-Trump people didn't know how to criticise him but on the other hand his supporters didn't know how to support him. To this day I don't think anyone's quite figured it out.
This just never ends does it.

There was a UKIP candidate who turned out to be a pornstar, and his name was Johnny Rockard, lol.
Idk you guys but I really 'knew' (as in, it seemed to be completely obvious) that behind Brexit there was a huge Russian support movement. Everything that makes Europe and or United States more unstable and separated benefits them. So it's a no-brainer they will try to finance/lend a hand to everybody who matches that target.
In fact, I expect down the road to this same news pop up related to AfD and to Le Pen...There were some news behind Le Pen being financed by a Russian bank or something like that.
I wonder what was the NSA doing all this time. Weren't the Americans known for spying on, like, every single country? This couldn't have gone under the radar.
If I were Putin, this'd be a two-step plan. First, you divide your enemies - then you make them fight each other. Be very wary of Russia trying to deteriorate relationships between european countries to the point that NATO members back out of the agreement, maybe even try to go to war.

maybe it was just too big for intelligence agencies to follow up on. i mean a Russian operation of that scale and audacity would be explosive if it came out all at once, wouldn't it?
though i'm probably the last person who should be guessing how spy agencies work

People stopped paying attention to the shit that mattered, and the right-wing seemingly welcomed all of the Russian help with open arms. Apparently putting your country first means adopting polices most favorable to Russia :V

Or, I don't know. Play their own game. Social engineering campaigns directed at Russia on the same scale and style as the ones they used against us, intended to erode Putin's support.

That is the thing. The bigger it is the easier is to get a hold on something related to it. If there are more people speaking about it, the easier is to catch one thread and then get to the rest (as it happened with Pappoulopous or whatever that guy's surname is. The FBI caught him, told him to wire up and go to the rest of the meetings) . See the Cuban Missile Crisis counter example, where the missiles being transported to the island was something so secret that top members of the politburo didn't even know what was going on.

The people that need to see it just change the channel, ignore these threads, and won't touch "MAINSTREAM MEDIA" with a 10 foot pole.

I really think our intelligence agencies have known, and have even warned about all of this shit. Our congressmen just refused to do anything about it:
According to several officials, McConnell raised doubts about the underlying intelligence and made clear to the administration that he would consider any effort by the White House to challenge the Russians publicly an act of partisan politics
If our congressmen couldn't make a joint statement because of the Republican leadership, it makes it pretty hard to put all of the other pieces in context.
