US Warns of Possible Attacks on Churches, Holiday Gatherings
Federal authorities warned law enforcement authorities across the nation Friday that Islamic State sympathizers are continuing to call for attacks on churches and other holiday gathering sites.
The warning was issued after a publicly available list of U.S. churches was posted on a militants' social media site. It also came just days after Monday's attack at a Christmas market in Berlin that left 12 dead and 56 injured.
Separately on Friday, police in Australia detained five men suspected of planning a series of Christmas Day attacks using explosives, knives and a gun in the heart of Melbourne.
Well, this should fuel the War On Christmas people for a while.
Hope nothing comes of it!
Can't wait for President Trump to feel emboldened into further egging on tensions.

Second post, that was quick.
Get fucked ISIS. You're not gonna ruin Christmas or ruin anyone's spirit.
An ISIS inspired attack on a large Christian Church would be kicking a hornet's nest. Especially with a conservative term coming up.
Do they want crusaders? Because this is how you get crusaders.

I hope my parish isn't on that list. The Archdiocese of New York is probably their best target. Blowing up St. Patrick's Cathedral would push us back to 9/11 feelings.
don't they give this warning every year?
I have friends who go to church. I hope to god that they will be safe if something like this happens. I pray that it doesn't happen anyway.
Does anyone know where that list is?
Go ahead Daesh. We always wanted a reason to go full crusader mode with the whole of Christendom behind us. I'm quiet sure that if you attack us and Russia at the same time, you'll encourage a wrath from the Orthodox, Protestant, and Catholic institutions around the world.
So yes, please. Please give us a reason to raze Raqqa and crucify every last one of you.

No. Don't say yes please for something like this. Hope nothing happens or that it fails impotently if it does.

It's basically the equivalent now of those warning labels on coffee cups warning of hot coffee.
The average person doesn't think anyone of it because they aren't stupid, but god forbid if you don't warn them beforehand anyways....

Honestly, I do sound quiet blood thirsty right now, but after seeing all the shit ISIS has been doing the last few years, I'm pretty infuriated.
rip

That's exactly what they want.

it would be the new burning of the reichstag
Will it be like the last crusades where the crusaders kill more Christians and innocents than anyone else lol

Need i remind you that this is exactly what ISIS wants. A great martyrdom at the hands of a crusading western army.
This is unnerving. Just about everyone I know is attending a service on Sunday. I hope they're alright.

This has nothing to do with the subject at hand. Real people's lives are in danger because of their faith, and it isn't just limited to Christianity. An American citizen might die in two days, and you're doing this? Shame on you both.

I think you misunderstand the tone of my post. I'm not taking this lightly either, just made a comment to the side. Maybe not be so quick to jump to the shame-game?

You are calling for exactly the same shit that ISIS is already perpetrating. You are trying to inspire Christian zealots to start their own actual holy war, complete with fucking crucifixion of enemy combatants. You are calling for Christian Jihad. How can you sit there with a straight face and argue that the solution to violent religious zeal is MORE violent religious zeal?
You're completely unhinged, Joe. You are officially transitioning into a supporter of religious extremism. You should be disgusted and ashamed of yourself.

What he said would actually inspire moderate and less extreme people to join their ranks. Horrible idea, and horrible solution.
Do they want crusaders? Because this is how you get crusaders.
Yeah they do actually. Because crusaders would 100% validate their cause since it's now a religious war.

Yeah, or the time the people felt so emboldened that they raised their own peasant army and got fucking slaughtered.
Come to think of it, a second people's crusade would get rid of all those pesky "militia" types quite well.
i was listening to talk radio and the host would ask callers if they carried guns into church and most of the callers were like Darryl and rick from walking dead series on how they'd prepare for the WORST
one said he was a pastor who carried two mags with his pistol tugged behind him everyday

This is fucking disturbing, yo.
Idk, maybe it's because I'm not religious- but you posting here like you are rubbing your hands in glee at the prospect of people being killed by a group of religious zealots known for executing people in barbaric ways, so that you have an excuse to send even more religious zealots to execute more people in barbaric ways just makes me feel really uneasy.
If you are looking for an excuse for members of your faith to act like fucking ISIS, then what does that say about you?
I understand shit like "someone needs to teach these sick fucks a lesson!", But once you start saying shit like "lets bring all of Christianity on those Muslim fuckers!" it just starts to feel like people like me are going to get trampled in a bloody contest to see who has the best god.
Im pretty nervous attending the church today, seeing the news that the police in my place found the bombs 3 times in a row on different location.
Honestly, I do sound quiet blood thirsty right now, but after seeing all the shit ISIS has been doing the last few years, I'm pretty infuriated.
And this means there should be more innocent bloodshed in order to justify a.. holy war against them?
Are you aware of the fucking crushing irony?
