Standalone or Mounted: The Epic Battle of Grenade Launchers

When you need to shoot a inescapable wave of bullets, grenade launchers have always been the way to go. What is your preferred method of doing this; standalone launchers or gun mounted launchers? Vote and post why.
I've done both, with the same launcher. I have the Madbull AGX grenade launcher. Originally I got it as a standalone launcher, but it proved to be very heavy and bulky to carry around in a pouch. Not only that but when I needed it took forever to get it out. Anyways you could just manually set off the grenades by hand if you wanted to, which I ended up doing a few times and handing a few to friends to do the same.
Having the launcher on the gun proved to be more useful. It was right there when you needed it, but it makes your gun weight a ton. One day I had the pleasure of using a M203 on my SCAR. Now that was a better suited weapons mounted launcher and felt like part of the gun. Switching to it was as simple as moving my finger to the trigger.
Sort of makes me want to pick up a M203 now.
I don't play airsoft yet, but I think an underbarrel would be better.
For practical Airsofting - Undermounted
For sheer fun and scare tactics - Standalone

Undermounted launchers are for leetle men. Real men use standalone launchers and a knife.
Mainly for intimidation and ease of reloading. People arent scared by an M203, but for some reason, they shit themselves when they see an M79 or an MGL (Well, the MGL is understandable) Plus, I can reload my M79 loads faster than I can an M203 or *shudder* a GP-30.

im saving up for a m79 which ill just sling onto my back
Timebomb is credit to team!
I had a Madball Launcher for my M15, it was really heavy, really expensive, cost of grenades and the time needed to reload them was too much for me. I never use the thing, I tried to bring it to a game once but the range isn't the great even when you under-load it. I think a standalone would be better if you could attach it to a webbing vest or sling it over your back.
I actually expected Timebomb to come a bit earlier.
The CAW would scare the fuck out of me if someone took it into combat, as a primary.
Shotgun but more deadly.
I would be too afraid to use a grenade launcher. Aren't the grenades expensive? What do you do when you shoot it, you run into enemy fire to pick it up? I'd be scared of losing them and wasting loads of money on them.

GL grenades dont actually leave the barrel. At least, the expensive part doesn't. Sometimes they shoot a foam slug.
Oh that's good. What is GL? A brand? Type of grenade?

GL = Grenade launcher
Oh, obvious. lol. Well thanks for that information.
MP7 has no bottom rail, so it won't work. Mounting on the side of it would just look stupid and awkward.
Yea, but you are ENDER!
You would design a bottom rail for it, and we all know you would.
I heard launchers in general aren't really that great but if I were to choose one I think a under-barrel launcher would be more practical

But then I couldn't fold the grip.
Speaking of grenade launchers and grenades:

I wonder how effective this will be.

sounds like it will cost money and lack replacement parts

Not sure if I dig the whole "rubber cover" thing, but I guess it needs to be there to keep everything in.
