Tony-winning character actor George S. Irving, a Broadway mainstay, died December 26 at the age of 94. Born on November 1, 1922, in Springfield, Massachusetts, to Abraham and Rebecca Shelasky, Irving made his Broadway debut in the chorus of the original 1943 production of Rodgers and Hammerstein's Oklahoma! He went on to appear in a myriad of Broadway shows including the original productions of Gentlemen Prefer Blondes (1949), Can-Can (1953), Bells Are Ringing (1956), Irma La Douce (1960), and many more.
http://www.theatermania.com/broadway/news/george-s-irving-obituary_79523.html I know him best as the VA of Heat Miser from one my my favorite Christmas films, 'The Year Without a Santa Claus.' A real shame, seems like all of these people who contributed to Christmas media are passing away this holiday season...

It just keeps happening!
I don't usually like posting these kinds of things, but I want off 2016's wild ride

I was just watching that movie. Fucking hell.
Didn't really watch that Christmas movie growing up, but happened to finally give it a watch this year solely because of the miser songs. Easily the best parts of the movie, RIP.

Heat Miser was probably one of the best Christmas movie characters. At least he lived a long life.
