I'm hoping to get some critiques for the trailer I edited together. I still don't know how it fairs in comparison to larger budget films so if you can tell me what you think can be improved.

Well id watch it. Fuck that girls face at the start though, I look away from the screen for one second, jeeezzz.
But anyway, from my completely inexperienced point of view (filming wise) I like the consistency you had running through it, I thought the editing was good, it certainly matched the music and general tone of the whole thing and your actors were good as well, the shots in general as well were very pleasing to the eye. Sorry if you wanted specifics, but hey, now you have a response from someone who just enjoys movies, hope I helped! :)
Opening shot would work better if it was reversed, I think, with the blanket being put over her face instead of being pulled back to reveal it. Could use ambient noise (chatter, camera shutters, etc) mixed in with the narration to really sell the idea that it's a press release. I'd try to sync the cut from the eyes to the black/title at the end with the 'doooof' of the music
Otherwise it's pretty sweet!
If I'm honest, its OK but I'm not feeling the emotion coming from the actors. Its still better than I could do. Good start mate!

I don't think you're supposed to feel too many emotions from a trailer.
I like your consistency when it came to using fade outs rather than using a range of different transitions, I also like your use of lighting. Can't really say anything when it comes towards the sound (at college and I don't have any headphones to put in). A bit more emotion on the faces of the actors would have been good but hey, nothings perfect.
It's a good start.
