I was wathcing Aliens, the second installment and i noticed something. I dont know if im wrong or im late... Towards the end where she asks him how much longer til takeoff he says 26 minutes.... And there were 28 left in the film when he said that, gotta figure 2 for credits so maybe that was something the writers put in there for fun?
Everybody knows time goes slower when there is a countdown.
He said ETA, estimated time of arrival. Maybe he got there early.

It's not unusual, Room 1408 had something simillar.
