You can get it on Steam now for $19.99
Hope they'll be good as the Minerva DLC for Bioshock 2.

I'm almost willing to bet that we'll see a comment just like that.
If it were Multiplayer packs, id have a problem with it. Thankfully , there's no MP and I'm fine with this.
pretty sure it will be stuff like side missions
The problem I might have with this is that Bioshock is very much a erm, not so much linear, but certainly not as free roaming as something like TES. I'm not sure if DLC would work very well unless it's in the way of fairly long 'side stories' and such (kind of like the Deus Ex one).
One niggling issue I do have is the 'pre-order bonus' that includes a few boosters. I got the pre-order bonus with Deus Ex and it kind of made the start of the game really very easy when you had a grenade launcher, a bunch of expensive C4 and those 'auto-hackers'. I'm hoping that this bonus doesn't skew the first few parts of the story by detracting from the correct level of 'challenging' that Irrational Games have inevitably been so hard to strike a balance with.
Also, obligatory links on pre-ordering games/DLC.
I don't think that is exactly going to happen.
Which bit?
Which bit?
That we're going to be "ripped off" by Irrational. I understand the whole thing that happened after Aliens: CM came out, and TB's video on pre ordering.
I never said that would happen with Bioshock, but thought it'd be a good idea to spread the videos for those who've not seen them. They make some valid and related points.
An infinite amount of DLC packs.
I'll just wait for the GOTY edition in that case.

Don't get me wrong, he does, but I've seen people being more paranoid and negative about it just because the whole Aliens fiasco.
I mean I understand the reasons behind worrying about Infinite, but so far this game is just looking too good to fail now.
well this has officially soured my view of BS:I so far. i was keeping a very skeptical yet hopeful eye on it, but this is a sudden spillage of vinegar into my eye. hopefully it will wash away when i play the game.

they said the exact same thing about the titanic.

i am not implying that BS:I is suddenly shit because it has DLC. i'm saying that it should be treated with skepticism on all fronts until it proves its worth, considering the state of the games industry. it's safer to walk up to it slowly and patiently wearing an EOD suit than leap on it in the nude and realize it's a bomb.
Fuck Irrational, Bioshock Infinite is ruined.
Because of the DLC it is now instantly a horrible game, if there was no DLC it would be good but because there is it is now horrible.

I'm skeptical about every damn game that has been coming out for the last 5-6 years.
Most of the ones I buy, are actually fair decent.
Except SWTOR, and GW2. Those were stinkers. I'd sell my accounts in a heart beat if I knew how.
Seems fine, look at Tropico 4's DLC. After some years they will be on sale for less than 1 dollar each.
People actually thinking this is gonna take away from the game.
Remember that Irrational Games are bros, they got GFWL removed from Bioshock on PC and added FoV and gave free DLC.
2 wasnt them
Its a fucking item pack day 1 with shit you will replace so fast its not even funny.
None of the story shit has been started on.
Normally I agree with DLC being fucking awful but I doubt it will be the case with this, its not like they are trying to nickle and dime you or cutting shit out.
If it was some day 1 DLC shit, even if it was shit like Challenges, then it would be fucking stupid because its obvious that was cut.
All you are getting is a stupid item pack with items you can get in game.
And they are saying its story DLC which is great.
What the fuck is up with these season passes for games all of a sudden?
Remember: DLC is only good if it's in a game I like by a developer I like.
Hurp durp gaming hypocricy.
there is nothing wrong with dlc
there is nothing wrong with dlc
BUT CONTENT UPDATES SHOULD BE FREEEEEE
I remember the good old days when game come out and you never needed DLC for a couple of in game items. Seriously I don't mine expansions if they add a whole load of stuff to a game like how the elder scrolls did it in morrowind and oblivion.

My thoughts exactly.

Besides the Season Pass is only $20.
Better then Borderlands 2's DLC Pass for $30

I loved Dead space 1 and 2 and would've liked 3 but the DLC made it very flaccid sounding for me
so yeah what are you doing
[editline]21st February 2013[/editline]
I only like DLC if its like skyrims and actual content rather than shit like 15$ for 3 maps, 2 from the last game
Omg, Bioshock is dead now. Irrational is the new EA. Activision has nothing on Irrational... More like Irrashital am I right???
First Online passes (well those only affect you if you get a game used), now Season Passes. What's up with these crazy package deal things...
Are Season Passes even worth it? I know AC3 has one.

Depends.
If Bethesda had one for like $25 then it would be.
But its really fucking hard to tell if its worth the money now because no one knows how good the DLC will be.
I think you all are being a bit irrational about the situation right now

Even though the DS3 DLC affected pretty much nothing at all?
You don't need it to beat the game, you're not missing out on story content, and you're not blatantly restricted from content that was cut from the main game.
If you're complaining abut "being tempted into buying microtransaction shit" then you have more pressing issues than being upset by DLC.
[editline]21st February 2013[/editline]
Out of all of the dumbass reasons ever, you chose not to buy the next iteration in one of your favorite game just because of optional microtransactions.
