Coming back to school after winter break, I walked into English class not knowing exactly what to expect. My teacher had told us we would be watching something. Before he played the first episode, he told us a bit about the show, seemingly expressing a fondness for it. It's a show centered around the lives of Lindsay and Sam Weir, who attend an American high school during in the early 80's (the show was made about 20 years after that, in 1999). But he said it was different than other high school citcoms (it even mocks those shows at the beginning of the first episode). He said it had lots of depth in the characters and when you look at it, it's more than a show. It's full of detail and you can find all these hidden things that tell you more about the characters. Overall, it's a great show and I urge you to watch the 18 episodes (as it was unfortunately cancelled after the first season). The whole season is on Netflix and I think you can find it on YouTube. I won't say much yet because first impressions are important, but check it out. (Just turn off the spanish captions)
First from the left, is that the mod Rusty?
First from the left, is that the mod Rusty?
That's James Franco.
Love this show. Yet another in a long line of series that were over before they even began.
Your teacher should've said "this god damn show has James Franco, Seth Rogen, and Jason Segel in it." As soon as I was told that I looked the show up and went through it like candy.
I've heard so many good things about it, and just looking at the cast I will definitely give this one a look.
