good editing 10 minutes of complete silence followed by muted overwatch trailer :v:

This is what we call 'pandering'
good editing 10 minutes of complete silence followed by muted overwatch trailer :v:
I figured it was a trolly kind of move to make people think he was going in for a serious long discussion on the topic. Honestly, I've enjoyed how a lot of people have reacted to this, more laughter than outrage since it's silly but inconsequential.
This is what we call 'pandering'
The change makes me feel uncomfortable, under-appreciated and misrepresented. Please change it back.
This is what we call 'pandering'
Fuck YOU Blizzard. She is barely showing any fucking skin besides her own damn face. How the flying fuck can this even remotely be considered sexual? Because the leggings are skin tight? I really do think every game needs to just come with a "burqa" mode just to shut these kinds of people up. And I really wish companies would stop fucking pandering to easily offended people. A fucking ANIMATION offends you? For gods sake, grow the fuck up.
This is what we call 'pandering'
Was there a bandwaggon of other posts that agreed with him/her, or was it just one post? Because if it was that's kinda ridiculous.

now i wanna see an FPer make an indepth video about why the pose was so integral to her character and how removing it is a sin against everything that make streetfi-Overwatch a beloved game [editline]28th March 2016[/editline] [sp]damn she thick doe[/sp]
I kinda agree that the Tracer pose doesn't really match her character, and it's on-the-nose and kinda lazy. But I really don't think it's offensive or anything and I don't really care that they're gonna change it. It's a total non-issue either way as far as I'm concerned. At the end of the day its either a video game character in a sexy pose (who cares?) and it's Blizzards' choice if they want to change it (who cares?).
Was there a bandwaggon of other posts that agreed with him/her, or was it just one post? Because if it was that's kinda ridiculous.
Pretty healthy discussion about it, you can read more here. http://us.battle.net/forums/en/overwatch/topic/20743015583 However the first page or so saying things like "It's just one pose" "Grow a backbone" "Not sure if troll" etc. Then Blizzard responded and closed the thread. Then the forum started having other discussions about it. [t]http://i.imgur.com/FFBZr7V.png[/t] Most of those threads got locked after a few posts.
What I don't get is why they think tracer was a good character to begin with
What I don't get is why they think tracer was a good character to begin with
what's wrong with her?
I kinda agree that the Tracer pose doesn't really match her character, and it's on-the-nose and kinda lazy. The reason why it's getting removed is simply idiotic. The type of "logic" that is getting it removed is erroneous and can be applied to many other characters and situations.
The reason why people care is due to this being a slipper slope.
One change isn't indicative of a slippery slope. If they start changing other characters? Maybe I'd agree there. But until then we still have Widowmaker being all sexy and whatnot. No changes being made there. Tracer wasn't really meant to pushed as a "sexy" character, so I don't think them changing a pose blatantly meant to show off her ass is really a bad thing. Not really a good thing either. It's just a... Thing.

They would then use this event as an example and a base for getting what they want removed.
what's wrong with her?
She's just bland as hell, lacks significant flaws and traits, nothing about her outside of design makes her especially interesting or stick out. Basically she suffers from being written by Blizzard

We don't know if Blizzard will go and change any other heroes even if there are complaints, so acting like we do and getting upset about it seems like a waste of time. Until something actually happens, it seems like much ado about nothing. Controversy for the sake of controversy.

Every character (or close to every character) has a "turned around" pose that can be bought and used during the final win screen. To remove this from a single character for it being "unfitting" is not right. How else is the community supposed to show dissatisfaction if they are not allowed to speak out?

But I've been seeing a lot of "WOW FUCK BLIZZARD" and "WOW SUCH BLATANT SHITTY PANDERING WHAT SJW FUCKS". Not saying you're being that way, or even that there are a lot of people here being that way. I just feel like getting legitimately upset about them removing a sexy pose is as ridiculous as being upset about the sexy pose in the first place, especially when its being taken as some massive paradigm shift towards censoring anything slightly offensive. Assuming one ultimately insignificant change means the game is on a one-way trip to SJW Town is ludicrous.

I want to throttle Thrawna from the sheer amount of stupid in their posts

we're now living in a world of the inversed "she looks 8 but is actually an 900 year old vampire" excuse holy shit

It is good that there is talk however, since it shows that many people in the community are upset at such a change while being civil. I can see where you are coming from, I just think that there cannot be discussion about a topic without there being radicals. To say it is a "controversy" is an overstatement, I would say its more of a small issue that people are showing extreme dissatisfaction for as the reasons for removal were wrong.

Sorry if I came off that way. I'm just kinda sick of seeing such trivial things becoming some giant issue of stupid industry social politics that floods social media instead of just a reasonable discourse. Maybe I'm just frequenting all the wrong places today, but I've seen it brought up sooo many times already and it just seems blown way out of proportion.
