What in your opinion is the greatest invention ever?
Personally, I think that tabs for Mozilla Firefox are the greatest invention ever. I don't why they beat the hell out of opening multiple web pages and having theme all on the task bar. They just do.
Honorable mentions for greatest inventions ever in my opinion: microwaves, usb ports, xbox 360s, and fire.

The Steam Engine, as it paved the way for the industrial revolution that created most of what our industry is like today.
