Sometimes, as a plot device, it works and it makes sense, but most of the time it just takes the form of a male power fantasy to stroke the player's ego. I guess poor writing and characterization also helps. Besides, from a creative standpoint, the whole Damsel in Distress thing is incredibly unoriginal (mostly because it's old as [I]fuck[/I]), clichéd and by extension boring and unexciting. [editline]BUT[/editline] That said, I don't agree with a lot of the things she says, she does tend to accentuate the negative side of things. It's still an interesting video nevertheless.

I don't own a nintendo device so I haven't played any of these.
