Firstly, I don't think this is in the wrong section as it does have something to do with this board... Secondly, I sincerely apologise for the wall of text, but I had to get it down somewhere. Thirdly, I'm going to post this in the best chronological order I can come up with, but time wasn't really on the agenda at the...time. In addition, try to imagine that all the way through this I felt only occasionally aware of myself, and certain movements I made, but these all came accompanied with a warm satisfaction and feeling of overall wellbeing and security. With that in mind, I begin: So it all started when someone with jonashappy's avatar (what?) posted a batch of acid they'd just whipped up. And I don't mean pictures. It was there, it was media tagged, and it was in one red and one yellow squeezy ketchup bottle. There was some discussion going on about it and I made a decision which was most unlike me; a completely uninformed and unexamined decision, to click the tag. More or less as soon as I did, I began to see flashing blue eyes and a sort of incredible darkness (I know...) and I felt like I was grinning away to myself. I felt elated, and uttered something which was likely close to: oh wow, it's working! This isn't so bad. I let myself drift off with it. As time went on, and I reached the 'peak', I remember seeing some other people had posted trippy videos to help people out on the thread ;D and the discussion was still going on all the time. I distinctly remember three of these videos, though one of them I'm not convinced was a video. The first was your bog standard fractal trippy visualisation thing; I think I could even see the youtube timer bar at the bottom. If you've ever seen one of those lava lamps which is full of a kind of glitter instead of lava, then you more or less know what I was looking at, only it formed symmetrical patterns emanating from the centre. So while being aware I was watching this on a video, it filled up the entire space of my field of view, and I began to forget what I was doing again. The second was some sort of explanation or monologue on either how this jonas-lookin' fella had whipped up his batch, or something else entirely. Thing is, it was being said by the head of (he wasn't dismembered, just close-up shot) a character who I can only describe as "like Isaac from Dead Space", but his voice wasn't deformed and it wasn't actually meant to be him. I'm just conveying an idea. He wore some kind of helmet, and his face was angled down somewhat. He kept wagging his finger occasionally, and pausing for effect in his explanation but I'm damned if I can remember what he said. At some point during this, I realised he was in fact in negative colours. Or something of the sort. He himself was bright blue, and the world around him (which was sort of like a forest, will come to that) was pulsating orange around the edges. Moving on, I began to forget once again about the jabbering spaceman, and my mind settled back on the thread. The discussion was still ongoing, but it had actually moved to a forest. Yeah. The batches of acid (of which there was now an older one from a previous page) were still ketchup bottles, but left in little nests in two places in this forest, and I floated around under the canopy briefly, taking note of how 'disney' it looked; what the wood consisted of was trees in all directions, but a good few metres in the distance, and in the clearing, just flat green grass. Completely flat. No plants either really. At some point I recall seeing the spaceman off to my left somewhere, but then I floated off up through the top of the trees. It was as if I was looking at a screen again: there was a line running along it from top to bottom, like a graph, sloping up gradually. Somehow this represented me. There were funny hand-drawn (but good) people and characters running around and exploding and laughing and rubbish like that on top of the trees. The sky was white like printer paper with the occasional scribble. After some time of sliding slowly backwards away from this action, I contemplated that the white background was probably that of the facepunch theme, and the drawings I saw were all part of the discussion still going on. As I slipped further backwards out of this thing, all of the other things I had seen began to spin, but not alarm me. They all filled my head at once, and grew dimmer and dimmer. Eventually, they faded to black and I opened my eyes and came back to the waking world. I think I just had a lucid dream. It's funny that even if you're looking for this kind of thing in your waking life, crazy shit can come to you when you least expect it. Apologies for any rambling or stabbings of the language, but I just woke up and my mental faculties are not all there yet. tl;dr: Falling awake. A journey through a facepunch thread and my own mind. You won't believe the trouble I had choosing a post icon for this...
Sometimes dreams can be and feel very real, sometimes even more real then when you are awake. You are dreaming right now...

Once I dreamed that my house was internet-attacked by some people and I ran through the house and unplugged the phone cable that was connected to my DSL modem and I got back to sleep. What freaked me the most is that the cable was actually unplugged the next day so basically I really ran into the house and unplugged the wire even though it seemed just like a dream. When you dream about anything can happen.
