They should release this so someone can finish it.

It was so close to being done that you can even watch the final cutscene from the game

A+ Sith right there.
It's so sad that we will never get a proper Battlefront 3 (Battlefield: Star Wars does not count).
A+ Sith right there.
That's the funniest death, straight out of spider man
Even in this unfinished state it looks more fun than the new one, only thing DICE's version has on this is audio and graphics.
I am not even exaggerating I'm serious, this is the Battlefront we should have gotten. It would be nice if those who didn't agree with this would explain why they feel that way
It is like if you took the gameplay of this and the fidelity of the new one you would sorta of have a real battlefront.
Honestly the gunplay in this version looks incredibly unsatisfying, although those ship models (especially the capital ships!) are really nice looking.
like WOWIE, LOOK AT THOSE VENATORS!!

although it is awesome they made the Super Battle Droids a lot tougher.

Do only people who have never played Battlefield make these comments? Jetpacking around and shooting everyone from the hip at 400 yards away is nothing like Battlefield. The player movement is nothing like Battlefield. The gun mechanics are nothing like Battlefield. The vehicle gameplay is nothing like Battlefield. The name is similar to Battlefield. It's made by the same developer.
I would've taken this over the new battlefront to be honest.

Cliche as fuck.
Cliche as fuck.
The plot got recycled into a PSP game and it reads like a Metal Gear Solid/Star Wars crossover fanfiction.
The only comparison that can be made is that Battlefield does everything Battlefront tries to do much better in every way at a lower price.
Actually, scrap that, Battlefield doesn't have a half-baked horde mode.
Dumb to compare them, because as I stated the games don't play similarly at all. It's even more of a stretch than comparing CoD to Battlefield (which is also dumb).

this is actually my problem with Battlefront 3. All they needed to do was to make a reskinned Battlefield then maybe it would've been fun. You know at least Battlefield had classes, vehicles that don't explode when you get off them and bigger maps.

Omg that sounds like the best thing ever! Just Solid Snake wondering around with a lightsaber while a bunch of Sith lords try to work out how to pilot a Metal Gear.
Can I be real? This game looked shit. It was literally just a BF2 rehash with a way too ambitious gimmick and it also looked unoptimized as fuck.
If there was a BF3 that was perhaps the median between Free Radicals BF3 and Dice's BF3 it would have been a great sequel.

Considering the walkers in Star Wars, I doubt that it would take long for a team who normally mans those to figure out an MG :v:

It's not a stable finished build that's why it's unoptimized.

People just want to bitch because it's not a 1:1 rehash of Battlefront II with 2015 grafix

Isn't this footage from a pre-alpha?

Land to space battles was not a thing in either game before. The maps in the this game look huge, and BF2 (not sure about BF1) didn't even have what felt like an actual story. It was basically multiplayer but with a few new additions and some voice acting with clips to tell the story. Did you even play the previous games? Also, this is an alpha. Obviously it's not going to be 100% optimized.

I really don't get all the comments like these, because last time I checked the other 2 Battlefronts were effectively Battlefield: Starwars.
People just want to bitch because it's not a 1:1 rehash of Battlefront II with 2015 grafix
or maybe because they wanted something closer to the originals from the self proclaimed sequel
or maybe because they wanted something closer to the originals from the self proclaimed sequel
Well that's up to the developers now isn't it? The game is fine on its own. It's similar to the originals (which I played) the game play is just a bit modernized, which imo there's nothing wrong with that. It feels good to play and from what I saw in the beta it's overall fun despite the changes.
I want to bitch because it's a shallow game with bad gunplay and a really dumb vehicle system.
Objective. How is it shallow? We haven't even seem all the gamemodes or what it has to offer. gunplay is fine, actually way fucking better than Battlefront I and II's imo
Vehicle system is meh, but I see why they changed it.
What? You said the gunplay was bad, I was comparing it to its predecessors. In comparison to OTHER 2015 games it's still not bad
Collecting tokens for vehicles I guess prevents other teams from abusing their enemies vehicles
And yeah everything else sounds bad, but knowing DICE they do know how to unfurl a game's launch and they also listen to the community sometimes
It's so sad that we will never get a proper Battlefront 3 (Battlefield: Star Wars does not count).
I mean it could be used as base for a mod making it more like bfront2, but what are the odds we'll get proper mod tools? Very slim.
People just want to bitch because it's not a 1:1 rehash of Battlefront II with 2015 grafix
So basically all anyone ever wanted, yeah. That's as good a reason as it gets.
It's bittersweet to see this now. When I was a kid I used to talk to my brother about how hyped we were for rumors of a Battlefront 3 while we played 2. Maybe it isn't much by modern standards but this game would have blown my balls off when I was a kid.
People just want to bitch because it's not a 1:1 rehash of Battlefront II with 2015 grafix
It's a good game, but it doesn't feel like a Battlefront title at all. You can't just reduce it like that. There aren't space battles. You can't choose your CP. There's no prequel era stuff (not everybody hates the prequels 100%). It's fun, but seamless ground to space transitions and more of a focus on instant action was the kind of thing I was hoping for with DICE's title.
It's not a bad game, like I said, it just doesn't feel like a Battlefront title. I'll still probably buy it.

There's always hope with the Season Pass for all of those things imo. Space Battles expansion would be cash and i'm sure they'll add some sequel stuff in a pack
Which don't get me wrong, it absolutely should be in the base game, but DICE loves their DLC and milking dat fanbase
