What are some really weird films you show to your friends to freak them out? I need some for the coming weekend.
Human Centipede
A Clockwork Orange/ Most of Kubrick's films.
Eraserhead
Santa Claus Conquers the Martians
Serbian Film
Society
Being John Malkovich springs to mind. (Probably the most delightfully weird/insane movie I've ever seen. Although, it can be somewhat unpalatable)
Mulholland Drive too, but that's a little too obvious... plus calling it "weird" seems to be missing the point a bit. Even still, great movie, I'd recommend it.
The Tin Drum
La Moustache

Note: Not a comedy.
Brazil is very weird too, but I don't think it is as enjoyable as the other two.
Valhalla Rising for me.
I loved it, but can't make heads or tails of it. Very bizarre.
The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai
Peter Weller is a blackbelt rockstar neurosurgeon and Jeff Goldblum is a cowboy, and they team up with rastafarian aliens to save the world from crazy Italian aliens.
I mean, check this scene out (its in the middle of a gunfight, if you wanted context (or lack of) in the movie):

They don't even say what the watermelon is doing there for the rest of the movie. Genius!

The premise for this sounds kind of silly, but it is a really great surreal movie.
It probably won't freak your friends out though.
Yeah, surreal is a great word to describe it. Unsurprisingly, Phillip Glass composed the music for it.
Eraserhead
[editline]17th January 2011[/editline]
but don't be fooled. It's still a fantastic film. Just really fucking weird.
That Serbian film that involved that Serbian pornstar dude whose family was kidnapped and he accidentally fucked his own son
Splice... I can't look at Adrian Brody the same way ever again...

Me and two friends decided to rent this. By the end of it, both of them were sleeping, and I could barely keep my eyelids open.
Anyways, if you want a really weird movie, try to get your hands on "Kika". It has some of the most bizarre sex scenes I've ever seen. It's a comedy though, not a porno.
Into The Void.

or Enter The Void
Tokyo Gore Police (really there's a fuckton of stuff to choose from from Japan)
Alice (a 1988 Czech Alice in Wonderland movie with a lot of creepy stop-motion animation)
Requiem for a Dream freaked me out near the end.

Brazil is a great movie, and even if you find the plot dull, the set design makes it entertaining and worth watching

I never said it was bad/mediocre movie, I merely said that I didn't find it as enjoyable as the other two I mentioned. I'm curious, have you seen either of them?
Anyways, enjoyment isn't the only factor in critiquing a movie (plus it's somewhat subjective); I found Brazil to be quite a work of art, and yes, stylistically it was incredible, but I don't think most people would find it extremely palatable.
The Fountain with Hugh Jackman was pretty bizarre. It makes sense if you can understand the symbolism and the like, but it's still incredibly strange.
