• Want to do Squier Jag HH mods, some help please?

Hey. I currently own a Squier HH Jag, but I wanted to make it more 'Jag-like'? I wanted to change out the pickups, get rid of the concentric pots, add a vibrato etc. essentially just turn it into a Fender Classic Player HH Jag? I'm stuck finding a suitable scratchplate and the other associated materials for my modding? into this: Help appreciated? EDIT: Buying an actual Fender is a no-no.
you're better off buying a real Jag, it'll probably be cheaper, easier and it will sound better thus play better

alright. check thomann.de, stewmac.com, warmoth.com should be pretty much everything you need in those sites.

EDIT: best that I've found so far: http://www.thomann.de/gb/goeldo_pickguard_fj_master_wh.htm
the only thing the squier Jag HH shares with the classic player jag is probably the body. then again the classic player jag is also pretty far removed from a real jag.

But it wasn't popular because it would mess up the tuning, or was that the Mustang?
yeah most people took that string muter off.
Main problems, the jack for the lead is in a different place, different bridge and pickup routing, you could get something similar but it wont look like a proper fender jaguar but thats just my opinion, if you spend time on it you could get something good.

I might fill the jack over and use it as a panel for a coil-tap switch etc. or I'll continue to use the strat jack. I'll probably use a Tune-o-matic and a mustang trem for the bridge. It's routed, I've looked inside and it actually has space for rhythm controls etc.
