Really disappointed they decided to make it third person. It seems to want to be a game where immersion is a deciding factor but the camera perspective severely diminishes that quality.
This is the first we've really seen of the game since the CG announcement trailer in late 2011, i'm wondering if the developers are having a hard time forging an actual product with the concept.
Looks fun!

This I guess?
I've been waiting for this game for so long. It's been up there with Watch.Dogs for me.
Looks bloody amazing.
The building system looks interesting.
why not fortify an already made building?

I'd hardly say immersion is a that big a factor in this. The emphasis is survival, resources and working with other people as a team. It's hard to create immersion in a multiplayer game especially one with such an unrealistic art style to boot.
There have been plenty of games in the third person perspective that still achieve a great and immersive game world.

It's much easier for me to become immersed in a stylized world. There are too many niggles and problems with photorealistic games that are just gone when you switch to "unrealistic"

That aside, there's no denying that third person games can still keep you well immersed. Sure some people might feel better immersed in first but there's nothing to say they haven't achieved a decent level in third with this game.
Immersion factor would be the last thing on my mind in a game such as this especially since it's MP.
Thanks, poster guy.
I like the building system.
Is it multi-player? Would be awesome to see fort-wars styled game modes and co-op.

I'm like 90% sure it's going to be multiplayer.
Pretty sure I read it in like gameinformer or something.
Do we have any idea when it's coming out?
I think other factors come into play when third person, but i can definitely feel immersed. I am always 100% immersed in Legend of Zelda, and that 3rd person
Yes it's confirmed for multiplayer.
At least 4 people. It's also on UE4.
Has 3rd person been finalized? I would much prefer it offer both like the elder scrolls games.
Yeah but TES has always had lack luster Third person.
I think them focusing on one view will help the game better.
