That is one brave squirrel!
It sounds like the car hit it's tail, it's tail probably got broken,
Yeah, the tail definitely got broken. You can even notice that it's not upright after the car passes.
You can actually see a piece of its tail trailing the car after it passes over it?

Yeah, that's definitely it's tail :(
I drove one of those at a track day. I was:neckbeard:the whole time. Didn't hit a squirrel though.
I was like "Yay omg cute animals for the win!" when I saw the video, then when I read the comments I got kinda sad, poor thing :(

Impressive how it keeps running, instead of lying down in pain. The power of adrenaline.
Wonder where its going to?
It actually lowers it's tail a bit before the car goes over it. Not enough for the car to not tear off a piece of it's tail off, though.

Or it lowers its tail because the car tore a piece of it off and broke the rest?
Why did the squirrel cross the road?

What makes you so sure it isn't just a piece of trash/grass/anything? A racetrack isn't really the cleanest place.
THUMP- oh, there goes its tail...
It's ridiculous how the car seems so far away, but pulls into the shot so fast.

Look closer and turn your speakers up.
I can definitly see a tail afterwards. It probly a couple hairs
If you watch the piece of "tail" you'll notice that it's nothing more than a bundle of fur. I think the car just ripped the hair from the tip of the tail off.

Okay it still looks pretty broken to me
Fucking squirrels. Why do they run out in front of cars anyway? I've seen squirrels sit by the road and WAIT until i was RIGHT NEXT TO IT before scurrying across the road.
Animals always choose the worst times to run out into the street.
You'd think that in the hundred years or so that cars have been around, squirrels would have adapted in some way so that they wouldn't get run over all the time.
why the fuck do squirrels choose to cross the road when a car is coming
have you really ever seen a squirrel do this? you will be driving on a road, seeing a squirrel about 50 feet ahead eating acorns next to a tree, then it fucking bolts across the street trying to make you hit it.
i really, REALLY think there is a problem with a squirrel's brain. there has to be a reason they do this.
woah, lucky little fucker!
at least he lived fuck that tail.

In May I had three instances, THREE! I almost ran down two deer, almost killed a cat, and almost ran over a 5 foot snake. It was ridiculous. In all my years of driving I've only ever almost killed the occasional squirrel, but these three events happened in the same week.
the tail fucking snapped
