Going on holiday? Come to the Algarve! The Algarve is the southern region of Portugal, which is next to Spain. It's popular with tourists, especially during summer (if you still don't know where it is, try 'that place where Madeleine Mcann got kidnapped'. Not that that's supposed to put you off). Literally everyone speaks English here, unlike other parts of Portugal, so don't worry about trying to learn Portuguese. The drinking age is 16, so if you like clubbing and bars and all that then you'll fit right in. etc surfing suntan fishing gettinghigh and whatever else you do on holiday DO IT IN THE ALGARVE ok

I live in Portugal : D but seriously if your coming to Portugal, sure Algarve in nice, but theres other nice places. Our capital, Lisbon, is worth a visit.
I miss living in Portugal. Cascais was awesome, so was Algarve.

I'm portuguese myself and there are tons of others here who are, and its a good place if you know where to look.

Seriously 10 years ago I used to go on holiday to this small town that had 1 hotel, we went back last year and there were 50 hotels and building work everywhere.
