Girlfriend works in the Office Depot in the area. Their store has been evacuated everyone (in the store) is safe. She has to wait around since her car is now blocked off, so if I hear anything else I'll post in here. [editline]28th June 2016[/editline] https://twitter.com/DenverPolice/status/747906446637969408 All is well it seems. Police radio chatter did make it seem like a suspect was detained.
They just mentioned that it was at an 'Alliance center' on the live feed, where 'several non-profits are located.' Not sure what that means, but Google results seem to suggest that the building was occupied by groups largely concerned with planetary conservation.

How many victims?
How many victims?
Unconfirmed reports of 2 victims being shot. [editline]28th June 2016[/editline] Suspect is confirmed deceased and en route to area hospital. One female victim confirmed with multiple GSWs. Police representative is giving a briefing live: http://www.9news.com/news/crime/dpd-investigating-report-of-man-with-gun-downtown [editline]28th June 2016[/editline] This is about it for all the info. Shooting was likely premeditated, single victim with multiple GSWs and shooter dead by apparent self-inflicted GSW. Scene is secure, but there is an ongoing investigation.
Is it just me or do reports of shootings seem to spike whenever there is an election?
Is it just me or do reports of shootings seem to spike whenever there is an election?
think its you personally
Is it just me or do reports of shootings seem to spike whenever there is an election?
Confirmation bias. This (mixed with media sensationalism and over coverage) is why people think school shootings are out of control and plane accidents are on a steep rise over the years when the numbers don't support either.
Another update:
The woman shot Tuesday at her office in downtown Denver has died, Denver police said Wednesday morning. The woman, who had filed for divorce in April from the shooter and had filed a protective order in 2013, was shot several times at her office at 15th and Wynkoop streets, police officials said at a news conference Wednesday.
http://www.denverpost.com/2016/06/29/wynkoop-denver-shooting-victim-dies/ Completely horrible.
