"Of course, that's a very big subject and it needs to be looked at because we don't want to just do a simple rendering of it — you know, read what happened," the actor added. "The evangelical community considers 'The Passion' the biggest movie ever out of Hollywood, and they kept telling us that they think a sequel will be even bigger," Wallace said. "Passion of the Christ" starred Jim Caviezel, Maia Morgenstern and Monica Bellucci. It was a box office hit, bringing in more than $611 globally.
okay joke's up, it's about the resurrection
Instantly reminded of how 10-year-old me first heard about Passion of the Christ
Not too worried about this being bad, Mel's a damn great director when he finds a good project. Still bummed about him not getting a chance to do that Norse movie though, it'd be like a Scandinavian Apocalypto.
Jesus Christ Rising: Revengeance
For once, the cliched sequel subtitle of "Revelations" would actually be fitting.
Well if you were to do a story about the Apostles and how many of them were brutally murdered for doing nothing more than try to spread the faith, it'd work
Jesus Christ Rising: Revengeance
Your blasphemy Ends here!

My knowledge of the bible is limited, but what part are they referring to?
My knowledge of the bible is limited, but what part are they referring to?
Probably the forty days where Jesus came back and visited the apostles, up to his ascension and Pentecost when the apostles took up preaching. [editline]2nd September 2016[/editline] Not a very exciting bit imo. Like Zillamaster said, the apostles being persecuted and killed would be more engaging.
My knowledge of the bible is limited, but what part are they referring to?
After the resurrection of Christ, his 40 days on earth before ascending to Heaven. And Possibly the lives of the apostles. Basically a good chunk of the New Testament
It was a box office hit, bringing in more than $611 globally.
Um...
Um...
it was, every kid brought up in a christian household saw that movie when it came out.
To be honest a movie about the Gnostic or Zillamaster's idea of the persecution of the apostles would be far more interesting to watch than Jesus's resurrection.
it was, every kid brought up in a christian household saw that movie when it came out.
i think he is referring to how they forgot to add in 'million'
ooh do the upside down crucifiction of peter next! the romans crucified him upside down so his soul would go to hell instead of heaven which is totally spiteful and roman
the romans crucified him upside down so his soul would go to hell instead of heaven which is totally spiteful and roman
No. He wanted to die not facing the same way as christ as he felt he was not worthy to do it
No. He wanted to die not facing the same way as christ as he felt he was not worthy to do it
eh maybe i got it wrong i do remember watching some documentary thing though where they talked about similar crucifixions doing that
Hell yea, bring it. PASSION OF THE CHRIST 2: THE CHRISTENING
Can we get a Bible Cinematic Universe? I want to see APOSTLES: CIVIL WAR.
Can we get a Bible Cinematic Universe? I want to see APOSTLES: CIVIL WAR.
only after we get to see a movie about Paul and the Corinthians, get to the story and the man, and people behind all those darn letters
You could do a whole series on Paul. Ironically, the guy went from persecuting and killing christians to becoming a prominent member of the early church himself.
i think he is referring to how they forgot to add in 'million'
o
they should do a movie about when jesus went to japan and learned how to be a ninja
You could do a whole series on Paul. Ironically, the guy went from persecuting and killing christians to becoming a prominent member of the early church himself.
ya and thats a great story, but i'm more lampooning how the Corinthians asked him for advice on almost everything i mean its not mentioned much how like a whole chunk of the bible is just essentially fan-mail from the time, i mean important fan mail to clarify things but still kind of different from other religious texts which are more rigid
You could do a whole series on Paul. Ironically, the guy went from persecuting and killing christians to becoming a prominent member of the early church himself.
Consequently, Paul is arguably more important in Christianity than Christ himself as he shaped most of what it is today in terms of dogma. Hard to say otherwise when large majority of the New Testament is written by him.
Can we get a Bible Cinematic Universe? I want to see APOSTLES: CIVIL WAR.
That's actually not a terrible idea. I wonder if done right, would people read the bible more to get an idea for what happens next like with comic book universes and book adaptations?
Jesus Christ
This is Mel Gibson's pet project since 2008 at least, I remember where "Easter 2011" was its release date. Hopefully this time he'll be able to make it.
passion of the christ - rebirth or passion of the christ - the next generation im going to see it, already decided even if its shit <3 [editline]2nd September 2016[/editline]
That's actually not a terrible idea.
