Well according to some people, breaking up weed with your fingers will diminish the amount of thc in the weed.
But I don't think it can really reduce the thc content by any noticeable amount.

Basically, ground weed will burn faster but more wholly, a nug will burn slower and might not but on the inside.

grind it up with your fingers, and break it over the bowl or whatever. that way the thc will drop in the bowl and still will be burned, but seriously you're that worried about a few microscopic crystals?
I like burning whole nuggs in pipes, it lasts longer imo.
I never smoke whole nugs. I always at least break it up with my fingers. But I usually snip it up / grind it.

It's useful to break up your weed and remove any stems, leaves or seeds. And then it leaves you with some nice shake. But keeping a few nugs is good too, if you ever need a green screen or you're trying to sell your weed.
That way bowls are easier and faster to pack, and burn easier. If you think it burns too fast, light it only until it cherries, and then just draw in the smoke as much as you can without lighting. Should burn less at a time, so is good when you're in smoke circles and the bowl needs to get around.
I usually stick a nug in a bowl then stab some holes into it with my resin scraper thingy.

If its burning, full of THC, and smoke is everywhere. You're going to get high. I think he meant that it's hard to burn something that isn't dried out. You'd have to throw the live plant onto some coals or something. Dunno I'm high and it sounds like a good idea :350:
