They need to give an option to turn off battle voices.
is it really this bad because obviously dunky is a parody take on it those character models though, why even
They need to give an option to turn off battle voices.
according to one of the comments, you can
They need to give an option to turn off battle voices.
there is an ingame option to turn off battle voices/narration
is it really this bad because obviously dunky is a parody take on it those character models though, why even
take it with an extreme grain of salt, Dunkey already admitted before in a previous video how he can't get into JRPGS and turn based games.
is it really this bad because obviously dunky is a parody take on it those character models though, why even
He's really not exaggerating the battle chatter and fucked character designs. It seems they took both of those to whole new levels after Xenoblade Chronicles (which is an otherwise fucking ace game tbh). It's a nice change of pace having a shitload of weird Brit voices in the VA cast, but holy shit they need to shut the fuck up in battles more often because they have like 4 lines at most. And it seems like 2 hasn't changed that much :|
They need to give an option to turn off battle voices.
But then we wouldn't have stuff like this.
is it really this bad because obviously dunky is a parody take on it those character models though, why even
Seems like a pretty polarizing game. I feel like I only ever see people who are absolutely in love with it or rip it to shreds. He doesn't exaggerate much on the convoluted menus and customization system though. But apparently the fanbase for this series wants and expects it that way.
I really liked the first Xenoblade but this looks very... Anime compared to the first game which really puts me off it.

If you can bear the anime stuff (Like boobage and some cringeworthy jokes) and shut down the combat dialogue, the game is actually not bad, Not as good as the first Xenoblade but still good (never played Chronicles X), if you like anime stuff then I guess its even better. And yeah it can get quite convoluted sometimes but I would not say its impossible to manage, Dunkey isn't the best when it comes to JRPGS and turn based games like he has admitted before, Just give it some time and you'll get used to the combat, This aint levels of convolution like those old rpg games for the PC (Even tho I love most of em).
I really liked the first Xenoblade but this looks very... Nonstop creepy awkward moments and cutscenes that have no place looking where they look. It still looks kind of fun? so if you could ignore that maybe it's still playable.
I had to switch to Japanese voices (literally never had to do this for any other game) and turn off battle chatter but I'm enjoying it. Not as good as the first one though. If the voice actors could actually match the timing and emotion of the scenes they're in I wouldn't mind the accents (I love them honestly but not enough), it's just so jarring to hear a cute lil cat girl emoting wildly while her deadpan Welsh voice droans on quietly, or big dark and handsome go from mumbling during a sword fight to the protagonist (when he should be amped up and angry) to randomly yelling angrily mid speech for like two words. It's like the voice actors had no clue what the context of their lines were and were reading from a script for one take. For instance, when Rex goes yaaarrgh during a charge at the end of the first chapter he annunciates it like he's reading a boring fan fiction, literally sounding it out like it's spelled rather than getting the hint of what kind of action he should be portraying. I gave it a fair shake but it was too cringey, and I hate that other than cutscenes I have no clue what the characters are saying in Japanese but at least the Japanese voice actors match the tone and timing of the characters.

Sometimes localization teams and their dub direction just don't put in the effort or even outright lack proper budgeting to allow the voice actors to see their scenes properly. The result is a game like Xenoblade 2 where the japanese fits the game like a glove but is pretty cliche, whereas the english is basically so bad and unfitting that it becomes one big ol' meme, though it has its good moments. If anything, everyone's thick accents and deadpan delivery just makes the anime comedy that much more hilariously awkward. What makes XC2 really stand out though is when it's compared to XC1's dub. The accents were cheesy there, but you could tell the actors got to get enveloped into the scenes a lot more effectively, plus goddamn could Shulk put on the bloodcurdling rage when he needed to. Compare that to just about anyone in XC2 and it's like night and day.
There are so many aspects of this game that look cool, but I can't bring my self to buy a game with such hamfisted waifu character designs. Especially on a console I'll be playing mostly on public transport.
Apparently the person who designed Pyra (the red head ultimate waifu) also used to draw hentai.
Apparently the person who designed Pyra (the red head ultimate waifu) also used to draw hentai.
Pretty much every artists has drawn some kind of porn (Some more than others of course) so it's honestly not that surprising or bad really.
Pretty much every artists has drawn some kind of porn (Some more than others of course) so it's honestly not that surprising or bad really.
So many artists on Pixiv go from tame to porn
Apparently the person who designed Pyra (the red head ultimate waifu) also used to draw hentai.
Ghost in the Shell's creator drew hentai before. After the movie racked tons of cash he went back and keeps drawing hentai to this day. I'd say it's pretty normal for a Japanese artist to draw a nakey tiddie or two.
Apparently the person who designed Pyra (the red head ultimate waifu) also used to draw hentai.
Valkyria Chronicles comes to mind as well.

Like a lesbian threesome, and a gangbang scene most future releases omitted since it was just gratuitous and added fuck all to the story.
Apparently the person who designed Pyra (the red head ultimate waifu) also used to draw hentai.
who said saitom stopped drawing hentai
Apparently the person who designed Pyra (the red head ultimate waifu) also used to draw hentai.
I mean hey, the team behind Skullgirls hired fucking Zone Sama to work on Skullgirls. A talented artist is a talented artist :v:
well shit never knew so many artists drew hentai :v:
Pretty much every artists has drawn some kind of porn (Some more than others of course) so it's honestly not that surprising or bad really.
There is only one thing that can drive a man to the absolute misery of being an artist: thinking "I will draw my own porn". It's an essential truth of the universe.
there is an ingame option to turn off battle voices/narration
Where exactly? I haven't found it yet.
