Well, this film isn't pretty old, it is between 2002-2008. It is about a boy and a girl who get moved away from their parents by a police officer (or something similar) and they end up with this weird guy. The film also features monty python on it. (On the film, he has a house full of snakes and etc, he gets killed by his snake, I think.) And this guy sends them off to weird places, he also treats them very badly. One of the childrens name is "Violet". One scene is about the kids aunty, who runs away to a big cave, and then the kids convince her to escape, then they get stuck on a boat with piranhas around them, then that weird guy who I mentioned at the start of the thread saves them on his boat and brings them back with him. It is also a childrens film.
I have no idea what the film is called, I think it started with "the adventures" or "the misadventures of".
If anyone could help me with the name it would be very appreciated.

The movie wasn't HORRIBLE, but it completely raped the first three books plot-wise.
