Why are the filled with jumpscares and other weird shit theres a fuck ton of them, why do they exist? Any of you guys know? If you want to know what I mean go to 3LAMESTUDIO but be careful cus theres a bunch of creepy shit disguised as kids videos.
While I can't attest to the jumpscares, Cr1tikal did a video interpreting some of this; things like Hey Kids, finger family, etc. videos are partly designed to be mindlessly left on in the background over the course of huge mixes/"watch next" queues.
As video revenue is partly affected by the amount of time the video is watched, rather than a binary "did/didn't view", they attempt to capitalize on people leaving a tablet going to distract small children, since the kids have no standards and at certain ages will just eat up the Frozen/Minions/etc. finger family shit.
There are theories that some of the more whacked-out videos are made by a sort of automatic content generation system.
