Ex-Infinity Ward heads found Respawn Entertainment

Jason West and Vince Zampella, co-founders of Call of Duty developer Infinity Ward, have created a new development studio called Respawn Entertainment.
The development house is currently recruiting designers and other staff and has already agreed an exclusive distribution deal with publisher EA.
This represents Mr West and Mr Zampella's first activity since departing Infinity Ward earlier this year, where they headed the production of the record-breaking blockbuster Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
Mr Zampella expressed pride in their work and achievements at Infinity Ward with the Call of Duty series, adding that they now "hope to do it all over again" with a new team.
Frank Gibeau, president of the EA Games Label, added: "This is the start of a great publishing partnership - one that I expect will develop blockbuster game franchises."
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 was the biggest-selling game of last year and recorded the biggest launch of any entertainment product in history within five days of its November 2009 debut.

Either way, yay! But.. Respawn Entertainment...? Really? It's a horrible name. Like those cheap bargin-bin game companies you see.

They are sign up with EA but they have 100% owner ship. EA is just the publisher.

Talk about role reversal. Now Activision is the monolithic entity and EA is starting to make good games and work in a progressive action.

The name is funny because that's all COD was for awhile, respawning AI making entertainment.
Because EA is crap. Also there losing alot of cash atm, and RE will save them.
