My new PC is on the way :neckbeard:
"Are you going to buy a new PC, or upgrade your PC this year?" Yeah, i guess. Mine ain't the high end super computer like four years ago... [editline]13th January 2011[/editline] Actually it newer was, but you know :3:
I'm going to get an i7 2600K later this year, together with a new mobo and case.
Nah, with all the pc games being ports of inferior hardware (consoles) i dont need to upgrade.
I'm using a Pentium IV now so I kinda need the upgrade. [editline]13th January 2011[/editline] Automerge!
Custom built a whole new computer in autumn so obviously no need. Won't really need to do anything with it for a good 3-5 years since I won't need anything stronger as I don't prioritize games, and especially not getting 150FPS instead of 100FPS. An I7 930CPU, Nvidia GTX 265, 12GB of DDR3 RAM, some 1366 Gigabyte Motherboard and a 1000W PSU will serve me well for many many years to come for video and photo editing as well as playing games at a high or medium setting without problems. I probably won't afford upgrading it either since I'll (hopefully) start studying this year.
Going to upgrade the old parts soon. Gigabyte GA-P67A-UD4 i5-2400 A new fan and 6GB DDR3 ram.
1. Are you going to buy a new PC, or upgrade your PC this year? Hopefully a new one 2. If buy, how much do you think you might spend? Around £550 5. Do you use a laptop for gaming? If so, why that rather than a lovely desktop box? It was a gift, don't dis, it runs crysis medium-high. 6. Are you clueless about building stuff and think it costs £2000 for a new PC? If so, would you like RPS to show you how to build a cheap, fast PC? No 7. If you’re buying a new graphics card, what are you getting, and why? Whatever is good at the time, it'd be foolish to choose this early on in the year. 8. And why are decent PSUs so expensive!? Seems like a big old price gouge to me. But anyway. Because they fucking break and fry yo shizzle otherwise.
My GPU copped out on Christmas day, sold my spare novint falcon and the broken GPU on ebay, getting a GTX460.
Gee i wish Intel relesed Pentium V already :downs:
