• Secret Service blocks #BlackLivesMatter protestors at Clinton event
Secret Service agents on Tuesday kept five people in #BlackLivesMatter T-shirts from entering a Hillary Clinton event in New Hampshire, but the candidate later met with them in an overflow room set up near the event. Initially, the meeting between Clinton and the protesters was going to be covered by pooled members of the media, but Nick Merrill, a spokesman for Clinton's campaign, said the #BlackLivesMatter protesters asked for the event not to be recorded by the media once they were informed journalists would be let in. Members of the media were never in the room with Clinton and the protesters. The Secret Service had closed the doors to the main event, a forum focused on combating substance abuse, in Keene after it reached capacity, a Clinton spokesperson and a Secret Service agent told CNN earlier Tuesday. One of the five kept outside the event was Daunasia Yancey, the organizer from the Boston chapter of #BlackLivesMatter. The New Republic had quoted her earlier Tuesday saying the group planned to disrupt Clinton's event with questions about her previous support for "draconian penalties for drug possession and abuse" and the "hyper-militarization of urban police forces."
http://www.cnn.com/2015/08/11/politics/hillary-clinton-new-hampshire-black-lives-matter-2016/index.html
the #BlackLivesMatter protesters asked for the event not to be recorded by the media once they were informed journalists would be let in
What are they afraid of if they're a legitimate movement? :v:
Why does Shillery have Secret Service protection and Bernie Sanders doesn't?
Why does Shillery have Secret Service protection and Bernie Sanders doesn't?
She has Bill Clinton.
Why does Shillery have Secret Service protection and Bernie Sanders doesn't?
Because she is the wife of an ex-president. Presidents & their spouses get lifetime Secret Service protection.
She has Bill Clinton.
Oh right, forgot they continue to receive Secret Service protection.
People on Tumblr have been giving Bernie Sanders shit for not 'saying the right things' regarding BLM. I fucking called it that Hillary would have secret service or security kick their asses outta the place instead of letting them speak.

Silencing protesters will just piss them off - guarantee that this will end up helping Sanders in the long run, especially since the BLM organization demanded that the two Seattle protesters apologize publicly for the interruption and praised his racial justice platform. This just looks bad on Hillary and it'll galvanize a lot of BLM members to support Sanders over her.
This is why Sanders should win, he's generally the only sane decent and down to earth candidate.
This is why Sanders should win, he's generally the only sane decent and down to earth candidate.
He has a lot of media hurdles. He's a self-admitted socialist. He allowed BLM to interrupt his speeches on two occasions, which could easily be construed as weakness by the media. He's admittedly "not very religious." He's old. A lot of challenges he faces with the media, but if he can use his respectful treatment of BLM and his great racial justice platform he could start winning the black vote, which is hugely important.

As another person said in another thread, if those protestors can stomp all over him, what would stop someone like Putin from doing the same? He might support BLM but he needs to draw a line in the sand, which he didn't. He let BLM use and abuse him.
if those protestors can stomp all over him, what would stop someone like Putin from doing the same?
This is one of the crappiest analogies ever.
The is one of the crappiest analogies ever
It's the truth. Did you see how red his face was? He was absolutely humiliated. Defeated. Would you trust someone like that to be the highest representative of a world superpower?

Seriously, compare the images from the Seattle protests to any other picture of him in similar lighting. It's the color of his skin, there's no difference. He demonstrated solidarity with the movement by taking part in their demanded moment of silence for the dead. He didn't get them kicked out because he agreed with them and he needs their support. I have no doubt he knew that they were embarrassing the movement, but if you actually read up on his racial justice platform, you'll see that he very much agrees with the ideals of the movement as a whole - moreso than Hillary.

You could easily turn his leaving the stage and not speaking at all as a sign of strength.
It's the truth. Did you see how red his face was? He was absolutely humiliated. Defeated. Would you trust someone like that to be the highest representative of a world superpower?
What? A bunch of protestors can't be compared with what is basically the enemy of the United States. That's retarded. Both the protestors and Bernie were working towards a similar goal while Putin and Sanders would be working opposite of each other.
It's the truth. Did you see how red his face was? He was absolutely humiliated. Defeated. Would you trust someone like that to be the highest representative of a world superpower?
Dude, his cheeks have always been red. That's actually pretty common in white people.

He didn't just walk off immediately, he remained up there for several minutes patiently.
Because she is the wife of an ex-president. Presidents & their spouses get lifetime Secret Service protection.
Did, congress limited it after Clinton, bush w has to pay, so will obama and future presidents
A lot of people were saying that the Bernie protesters weren't "officially sanctioned" but I believe this wasn't officially sanctioned. George Soros, the billionaire funding BLM has some serious money invested into Hillary's campaign.

George Soros, the billionaire funding BLM has some serious money invested into Hillary's campaign.
This is a dumb conspiracy theory because the way Sanders has handled the protestors so far has made him seem like the most genuine candidate by a long shot. The protesters have picked the absolute worst ways to engage with him and he has still demonstrated that he's willing to listen, something that other politicians won't do even when their constituents engage through the "correct" channels.
It wasn't smart. He showed weakness. As another person said in another thread, if those protestors can stomp all over him, what would stop someone like Putin from doing the same?
I don't know. The whole crux of Bush Jr's campaign was that he was just like the common people in imitation of Carter. One of his interviews was on a farm as opposed to Gore who still wore suits in a lot of his advertising. At least with this it shows Sanders is human, at can show humility.
It's the truth. Did you see how red his face was? He was absolutely humiliated. Defeated. Would you trust someone like that to be the highest representative of a world superpower?
You're really equating dealing with a part of the american population who is entirely disenfranchised from the life you personally take for granted every day with foreign relations? Wow. You really DO reach for any fucking straws you can. [editline]11th August 2015[/editline] And wow, you're really going to go down that road with his skin tone being a bit red? Holy. Fucking. Shit. [editline]11th August 2015[/editline] And what does it even matter if someone can be embarrassed? You want your president to be flawless? Well, too fucking bad, they're not going to be. I'd rather have a person who has the capacity for humility, rather than a person with no capacity for humility, something every GOP candidate is just ripe with.
It's the truth. Did you see how red his face was? He was absolutely humiliated. Defeated. Would you trust someone like that to be the highest representative of a world superpower?
I think he's hedging his bets on having the populace vote him in for important issues, instead of gut feeling. Maybe the US can do that... Maybe you're right, and it can't.

Also, worth noting that the BLM protestors are actually just black republicans. Even Bernie will start hiring security for events.
People on Tumblr have been giving Bernie Sanders shit for not 'saying the right things' regarding BLM. I fucking called it that Hillary would have secret service or security kick their asses outta the place instead of letting them speak.
And you will almost certainly not hear the same level of BLM outrage about Hilarys treatment of them. She has the woman card to pull.

wtf, why is the watermark an interracial porn site?
wtf, why is the watermark an interracial porn site?
The joke on messageboards is that Bernie is being pushed around by black women. Joke is about him being beta and fetishes, etc.
Clinton has gone to great lengths to say repeatedly that "black lives matter,"
The tumbr brand of BLM is infuriationg. All she has to do is say this to win people. No nuance or specific proposals necessary.
wtf, why is the watermark an interracial porn site?
Es ist eine joke. Just like when people put "brazzers" over a pic I didnt know it until you pinted it out. Now that makes the pic a lot more funnier
