Just watched a documentary called Bloodstained Memoirs which stars RVD and Mick Foley. (Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XFS8geMpchY) Has anybody else seen it, or any other good wrestling documentary's lately?
I do the sport, not watch it.
That ain't wrastlin'.
For me, I did a tl;dw!
That's not wrestling. That's professional entertainment sporting. AKA fake wrestling.

Cause juicing on roids and pretending to hit someone is a REALLY TOUGH industry. I don't understand people who watch fake wrestling. What is the point to it?

I don't watch wrestling that much any more, but I do like watching old wrestling documentaries or reading books about wrestling. I find the backstage stuff really interesting, especially how the performers work out what their matches are going to be like. Learning more about the business has really given me some respect for the people in the ring.

People are into weird shit, deal with it. Some people find the oddest things entertaining but who cares? At least it creates jobs.

^ Movie was depressing as hell.
Why would I watch a documentary about bullshit events staged to stoke the bloodlust of idiot rednecks?
People need to quit bitching about how it's all staged. Movies are all staged, and I have yet to see someone bitch because of that.
What the hell OP, why can't you even take the effort upon you to collect some infos into the first post and instead make a shitty one-liner thread? Why aren't you even trying to make a good thread?
People need to quit bitching about how it's all staged. Movies are all staged, and I have yet to see someone bitch because of that.
Movie studios don't try to pretend it's all real.
Movie studios don't try to pretend it's all real.
Well they don't exactly say "OH, by the way, you're watching a movie", during the movie.
Well they don't exactly say "OH, by the way, you're watching a movie", during the movie.
Two completely different things. Anyone who actually would make the comparison of professional wrestling to a movie is an idiot.
Why can't we get more ACTUAL wrestling documentaries, like the one of the disabled kid and the one with bad vision who helped each other in wrestling.
For me, I did a tl;dw!
Nice avatar. Also: OP lots of content, A+++ thread, love it!
WWE and stuff like that are SCRIPTED, not fake. How can you fake a fall from a 12f ladder or going through a table?
Professional Wrestling is a soap opera with fighting aimed at rednecks and 8-14 year old boys
Two completely different things. Anyone who actually would make the comparison of professional wrestling to a movie is an idiot.
Well, I don't personally see how there is that big of a difference between movies and wrestling. You are supposed to think that movies are real while you watch them, but before and after the movie, you think about how well directed the movie was, how good the acting was, etc. The creators of the movie, of course, don't claim that it's real in any way. The same exact thing applies to wrestling, the only time they try to make you think it's real is during the matches themselves. Also, :wcw: On the topic of wrestling, I would just like to say that professional wrestling has turned to shit. It used to be awesome in the early 90's; Sting, Bret Hart, The Big Show, etc. It all kicked so much ass. One of my favorite moments was probably this.
You wanna wrastle?
