A German newspaper has apologized for mistakenly publishing a fake Charlie Hebdo cover that featured an anti-Semitic cartoon on its front page the day after the French publication was attacked last week. The daily Berliner Zeitung featured four real Charlie Hebdo covers on its front page Jan. 8, along with a fake one depicting what appears to be an Orthodox Jew making a quip about the Holocaust. The cover carried the name "Charlo Hebdo" — one of the clues it was a fake.
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/huff-wires/20150115/eu-germany-anti-semitic-cartoon/ http://www.haaretz.com/.premium-1.637128
Who gives a rat's ass? If anything, that article represents a ridicule of all faiths equally. Do the Jews require special treatment now? [editline]17th January 2015[/editline] Wait, because it wasn't a real cover? Not that big a deal anyway.

That said I don't see why people who don't read that paper should know about it.
My issue is the hypocritical double-standard, especially with all the free-speech posturing going on.
I think it's more about someone having fucked up and having spread a piece of false information and less about the actual content of said piece of information/whether it's offensive to someone.
I'm pretty sure somebody on /pol/ made that.

Germans apologizing for Jew-related reasons.
I'm pretty sure somebody on /pol/ made that.
Nah, it's a French drawer nicknamed "Joe Le Corbeau", he's close to Dieudonné.
So these people are fine insulting Islam but not Judaism? What a double standard. [editline]18th January 2015[/editline] Wait, the Magazine did make fun of Jews, except this cover they shown was not the real article.
You ppl are missing the point. They used one fake and four real ones. The fake being the anti-Semitic one. It's like if I quoted your post and threw in some random racist comment about black people- aside from being a bit racist it's a dick move implying you're a racist.
It's like if I quoted your post and threw in my opinion about niggers being a bunch of fucking thieves- aside from being a bit racist it's a dick move implying you're a racist.
WTF dude why would you say that?

[editline]18th January 2015[/editline] Wait, the Magazine did make fun of Jews, except this cover they shown was not the real article.
As a note, the 'Charia Hebdo' cover was cited as a reason that their offices were firebombed in 2011. It insults terrorism, and mocks extremism. 'Sharia Law' is not something followed by any Muslim except the extreme ones, because Sharia is just a personal set of morals which, like any religious text, are open to interpretation. The cover on the bottom left is a far-right parody made by anti-Semites (whom Charlie Hebdo despise- go look up what they thought of Dieudonné, who is a known anti-Semite. They hate extremism- from anyone, towards anyone- and they're not afraid to mock it. [editline]18th January 2015[/editline] The issue with this is twofold. One, the cover is fake- so it shouldn't have been put with real covers. Two, the cover is legitimately hateful- it's saying "1 million reduction on six, in exchange for Palestine"- in other words, saying that the Holocaust was an excuse to create Israel.

And the original was placed right next to it. Should've been obvious that one of them was edited.
Germans apologizing for Jew-related reasons.
You think you're being funny but that is 100% accurate.
