Pardon the long title.
HAMILTON - A coroner's inquest found Tuesday that Hamilton Police Officer Ross Jessop was justified in shooting Raymond Thane Davis to death after the Hamilton man opened fire during a late-night traffic stop in January. It took a six-woman jury one hour to make its ruling following nearly five hours of testimony, which included a video that showed Davis pointing a pistol inches from Jessop's face and pulling the trigger. The click of the revolver's hammer hitting a previously fired round was audible in the recording. Davis fired a second time as the officer fell back and drew his own weapon. Jessop fired his pistol 14 times into Davis' vehicle as it sped away. One round hit Davis, 36, in the back and he died at the scene. Davis' .41 caliber revolver was recovered from the floorboard of his vehicle. Its hammer was cocked and ready to fire.
Source: http://missoulian.com/news/local/article_2dd02134-477f-11df-aba6-001cc4c002e0.html Video: http://www.break.com/index/drunk-driver-shoots-at-cop.html The drunk seems like he was such a douche bag. The guy was only a traffic cop, and he was being so polite too.
well yeah if someone pulled a gun on me i'd shoot the mother fucker too
Nice shootin' on the Officer's part
Nice shootin' on the Officer's part
Nice shootin' on the Officer's part
the justice system is complex for a reason but in cases like this i don't understand the need for a trial AGAINST the cop with these things rules should be simple, guy pulls gun on authority, authority shoots
Nice shootin' on the Officer's part
Nice shootin' on the Officer's part Edit: Bugger :(
Wow, that cop is so fucking lucky that first shot didn't work. [editline]03:26PM[/editline] Nice shootin' on the Officer's part
The thing is i'm sad that this is news, I don't think a cop getting fairly charged should be some ground breaking thing, but in todays world if a cop shoots someone pointing a gun at him he's a brutal cold hearted killer.
Nice shootin' on the Officer's part
Nice shootin' on the Officer's part

He deserved it. Also, the people on here criticizing his accuracy have never been in a life or death situation like this and probably have never even fired a gun.

Clearly he was.
Nice Officer' on the shootin's part
No the trial was important, it makes sure that the cop was acting just. Clearly he was.
yes that's my point of course he should confess to every single detail but after a quick trial he should be left alone he did what he had to do
That video was intense. I'd shit myself if I was the officer.
The officer had freakin' aim hacks, man! How the hell did he hit him while he was moving AND standing up. He should've been at least crouching for that shot to look realistic.
What a lucky cop.
Also, that revolver must've come out of no where I'm presuming. Would've thought the officer might have noticed the drunk guy fumbling for his pistol.
Nice shootin' on the Officer's part

Near the end I wasnt sure if he was still alive but then I saw the transformer blow up. :v: Also Nice shoot'n on the Officer's part
yes that's my point of course he should confess to every single detail but after a quick trial he should be left alone he did what he had to do
Yes, yes. I'm just pointing out that trial against him isn't a bad idea.
Cop did his job well. People who think he's guilty are idiots.
That Officer's part had some nice shootin'.
Also, that revolver must've come out of no where I'm presuming. Would've thought the officer might have noticed the drunk guy fumbling for his pistol.
It was probably hidden under his shirt or something.
That part had some nice officer shooting.
