Turkish troops have crossed into Syria to battle with Islamic State militants in al-Raaie village, north west of Aleppo province, an MEE correspondent reported on Thursday.
"We can confirm that shots were fired from IS controlled territory inside Syria close to the border and one Turkish soldier died during the exchange while several were wounded," a senior Turkish government official told MEE on condition of anonymity.
That is an odd thing for Turkey to do.
I could see this somehow not being about ISIS and more about the YPG. Sure they'll scermish with ISIS, but diverging tells me there going to end up killing more Kurds.
I wonder why the Islamic State is poking at Turkey now of all time.
Maybe they're getting arrogant over their small victories in Iraq?
This is pretty odd, The YPG has been accusing Turkey of working with ISIS, even providing some proof. If ISIS is attacking Turkey, either they are becoming very arrogant or something else is going on.

Probably pure arrogance, but I do take back some of the things I said about Turkey because of this. ISIS threw the first stone and Turkey pitched a bigger one right back at them, though it's far too early to tell what's going to come of this.
