this shit's already been discussed for weeks in SH but this just dropped about 6 hours ago and this shit summarizes the cheating discovery plus most everything that happened afterwards as well, so whatever here it is anyways
The ride never ends :v:
The moment I came into this thread I thought, is this apollo?
Ayy it is, always like how his stuff is set up.
Also what's with the "Unlisted"?
Wait he was the guy that was in the Regular Show episode? Didn't know that. Back on-topic I wonder if TwinGalaxies is hosting any other cheaters. I mean Apollo keeps managing to find more of them.
Fun fact, Steve Weibe is a math teacher at my high school. I never had him over my years though.
I really want Steve Weibe's take on these revelations. He would probably be happy about it, even if he isn't a top contender anymore.

Apparently, he sued them (or tried to) for that, what a stuck up ass. Never understood people's admiration for the guy, he just carried himself like such a dick in every video I saw him in. I used to think that it was just the documentary that was deliberately trying to make him out to be bad, but from the interviews, it seems like he's actually like that. Seems like the documentary actually kind of downplayed his shitty personality.

if you're talking about king of kong, that was a highly edited feature that painted them as rivals with billy as a bad guy and steve as an unknown underdog.
steve was already on the leaderboard and had been competing with billy for a long time, and they're also friends.

Not sure I would want to stay friends with someone who beat my score with a tape that is now proven to have been faked (or at least very suspect since he wasn't honest about it being MAME) after I spent a long time trying to beat the high score legit. I also know that the documentary painted Billy in a bad light, but the interviews that Apollo highlights in the video that aren't from the documentary still show the shitty arrogant side of this guy. Like the one diverting to the size of the crowd rather than actually confronting the issue.
I could see Steve being in denial about this, but I would still like his take on it considering how that tape specifically played into his fight for the top score. I would be surprised if Billy had told him the truth behind the scenes, which means he has been lying to his "friend" for many years.
I definitely recommend watching this video by Summoning Salt as it's a lot less biased compared to the King of Kong, and is updated for the new scores that have come along since.

This is the funniest shit in the world.
What the hell is that East Side Dave Show lmao
Wasn't there a regular show episode making fun of this guy?

According to some dude on Reddit:
I suppose I should add that East Side Dave is being incredibly sarcastic when interviewing Billy Mitchell. He’s been making fun of him on air for 10yrs. He originally got Billy’s phone number by pretending to want to buy large quantities of his hot sauce. He then would get black out drunk and call Billy and leave him voicemails (eventually filling his voicemail box) demanding he come on his show. Listen to Billy’s interviews on the Sam Roberts and East Side Dave show. He thinks Billy’s a douche and has mocked him relentlessly for the last decade.
Wow, it's like his ego is so big he can't tell when praise is sarcastic cause he just naturally thinks he deserves praise
Some of the mannerism this billy guy has makes it look like Peter Stormare is playing a character lol
