Entire U.S. Senate to go to White House for North Korea briefing

Top Trump administration officials will hold a rare briefing on Wednesday at the White House for the entire U.S. Senate on the situation in North Korea, senior Senate aides said on Monday.
All 100 senators have been asked to the White House for the briefing by Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, Secretary of Defense Jim Mattis, Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats and General Joseph Dunford, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the aides said.
While top administration officials routinely travel to Capitol Hill to address members of Congress on foreign policy and national security matters, it is unusual for the entire 100-member Senate to go to such an event at the White House, and for those four top officials to be involved.
U.S. officials have expressed mounting concern over North Korea's nuclear and missile tests, and its threats to attack the United States and its Asian allies.

How unprecedented is this? When has this happened last?
This sounds like some shit of them going "Aight enough is enough we goin to war boys". Or am I completely off
doesnt seem normal to me. Wonder why they're doing this rather than, say, a memo, email, visit from POTUS to senate floor, etc.
According to the article the briefing will take place at 3PM EDT, and given no other date it seems to be today.
So it's in one hour. That's one hell of a short notice for something this big. Are senate briefings usually view-able anywhere or are they behind closed doors?
I wonder what changed from holding it at the senate where it was originally scheduled to the white house.
get ready for war, my friends
If they blueball us again I swear to god
For a moment I read the title as "Entire U.S. Senate to go to North Korea".
Joke aside, very interesting.

Korean War 2: Kim Jong Unaloo
Oh boy, I sure am glad we have a stable, rational, and calculated president such as Trump with a vast amount of worldly experiences and knowledge during a time such as this! :downs:

More like 'Korean War Episode 2' made by valve because shit's not gonna fucking happen calm down.
from what I understand american police usually refrain from chasing bikes if they're clearly not going to stop. They don't pose as much threat to the public as a running car would, and there's a fuckton of liability to deal with in knocking them over like this
On topic, this is pretty worrying.

If he goes too fast we can't push him over shit
This should be interesting. I think it's about time we finally do something about North Korea. I'm not saying war is a good idea, but there must be some way to take care of Fatty McGee over there.

So then the war will end in a cliffhanger just like the last one
[editline]24th April 2017[/editline]
And then not be resolved ever because there is no part 3 and instead North Korea starts making VR stuff
ok this sounds like a prelude to war.
Enough with the "get ready for war" fearmongering. Let's just wait and see what happens.
This looks like Trump is preparing for war but he recently announced plans for an evacuation drill to take place two months from now, so who knows.
I don't know if it's a 'prelude to war' thing but it's definitely out of the norm I'm pretty sure
I definitely think the 'nothing will happen' dudes are going to be surprised eventually
Korean War - Trump DLC
There is probably a lot of quality intelligence coming in about the nuclear capabilities. We know there's potential for working ICBMs as they have already launched two successfully. If they can mass-produce A-bombs at the very least, they can still do considerable damage with a shotgun approach: fire enough, and one will get through. The 'bomber will always get through' approach but with thousands of deaths per bomber.
I have to admit, it's getting dire, and it's not even really Trump's fault. Christ, I'm really saying this.
