Rammstein, best of all time? - General

Good evening(depending on where you are in the world, and since I'm in Norway, it's evening) FP! I'll by resuming you all have heard of Rammstein. if you haven't, google it, I haven't got all night. Rammstein may be the best band of all time, and the reason i present such a bold statement, is because of their style. No matter how many people present in the audience they give 100%. They also write about stuff that's a bit edgy(with the emphasis on BIT), compared to what many bands, groups, artists, or degenerated, inbred, pop-sensations vomiting out the one half-human gutteral burp after the other. They also present a music-style that's unique to the band, by having using synthesizer as a main component, which is unusual in many other metal bands. The main message of this thread is: Rammstein is awesome, and may indeed be one of the best bands ever! Other bands play, Rammstein burns! Yeah, Rammstein are an awesome band, I'll hopefully see them live in a few months. Sehnsucht is my favorite album, even though it's amazing how consistent every one of their albums is. One of the rare bands without a single bad album, actually.

If you think Rammstein is the best fucking band in the whole goddamn world, something is wrong with you. They're good, but nowhere as good as that.

They're my favourite band, but that doesn't make them the best of all time. Music, like any other art, is about taste and personal opinion.

I think that Rammstein is pretty mediocre and they wouldn't be near as popular if they weren't German.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: The lyrics are what make 50 % or more of their songs. If you like this band - do yourself a favour and learn some German. :angel:

OP, it sounds like you haven't ever heard of [b][url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ministry_%28band%29]MINISTRY[/url][/b]... They came up with the "Industrial Metal" genre back in the '80s... Rammstein, along with the rest of all the Industrial bands you can find today, are just ripping them off. The ones I do really like for their lyrical content are:[list] [*]Engel [*]Hallelujah [*]Moskau [*]Mutter [*]Spieluhr [*]Stein um Stein [*]Zwitter[/list] I like the lyrics much more in their later work (The Mutter album especially). The early albums have some pretty incredible riffs though (Asche zu Asche, Laichzeit, among others).
