I'm basically at wit's end. I don't have much spare time anymore to pursue photography and I'm feeling very uninspired. I need a push in the right direction and I've gotten the idea for this thread as a solution! The rules of this thread; 1. Challenge the person above you to take a picture. Post an example image and some information / links on how to achieve a shot like that. 2. The person must then carry out their mission and attempt to get a similar shot or something in a similar vein / style. 3. If you post in this thread, you agree to carry out a challenge of your own! Please include a link to your portfolio so your challenger can gauge your level of skill and pick something appropriate. 4. Posts to this thread that don't follow the image + info format do not count. Please keep off-topic chat to a minimum and in the Creative Photography thread. 5. If there are two posts at the same time for a single person, the first post must be taken as the mission. 6. Shots must be fresh and new; don't post stuff that is already on your portfolio. 7. No time limit on fulfilling missions, however if you give up you must quote the original mission and say so. Looking forward to this one. Only because I'm currently on a street photography kick, I'm going to challenge you to take a photo of a stranger's face from no more than ~3 meters away, without their permission. I'm not sure of the laws in the UK but you should have the right to do so in public. i really don't know what to challenge you with, i was thinking like getting you to do something the complete opposite of what you usually do, like a formal smooth soft lit posed portrait or something i cant really find a single photo that exemplifies this so this will have to do: but like sorta like that my original challenge is still up, if anyone wants to do it(: here's my thing if someone wants to do one http://am-aman.tumblr.com/ https://www.flickr.com/photos/57434916@N06/
i really don't know what to challenge you with, i was thinking like getting you to do something the complete opposite of what you usually do, like a formal smooth soft lit posed portrait or something but i think it would be more interesting to challenge you to post how and what you want to improve in your own photography and how you think you're going to achieve those things ? here's my thing if someone wants to do one http://am-aman.tumblr.com/ https://www.flickr.com/photos/57434916@N06/
The idea of this thread is that you actually challenge the person above you with getting a specific shot and supplying a picture of something similar. Please have a think and come back to edit your post when you have something.
