• Being forced to learn how to drive

Yeah. I'm 22 and I still don't have my driver's license. Mostly because I don't really feel like it. I see it as a "Need" rather then a "Want", but I've been just fine with taking Public transportation for the past few years, so there's been no real need for me to do it. I tried taking the written test years ago and failed twice, the 2nd time I took it I got more wrong then the first attempt. Now my parents are pretty much telling me to learn how to drive or move out. Crap. (I do have an apartment, I just came back for the holidays) So I have Winter Break to learn how to drive, and pass the test, or else. Did they have to do it NOW when I'm just wanting to relax and enjoy my time off? I mean, I wouldn't mind knowing how to drive, but then again I wouldn't mind being able to fly, either. I mean, I'll attempt it for their amusement but I don't really feel like I really care if I fail the test again. It kinda sucks. Stop being so damn lazy... god dammit.
Just do it. Ain't hard to pass. Look at all the idiots already driving.
How did you fail the written test? It's common fucking sense.

You're going to need a driver's license to register for a lot of things, like a passport. Deal with it, it's for your own good. You're almost as bad as those little kids who whine about getting braces.
-snip-
I've had the same deal happen. I can go anywhere I need to go on foot or by bus. Just bite the bullet and learn to drive, unless you're starting on a manual it isn't so bad.
You're going to need a driver's license to register for a lot of things, like a passport.
Not true. A state ID has all the functions of a DL without letting you drive.
stupid idea "if you cant drive, MOVE OUT" were would you go if you cant fricken drive then?
How did you fail the written test? Most of it is memorization, which is difficult for me unless it's something about a game I like for some reason. I didn't get any sense of "Common Sense" when I took it, it seemed like a bunch of random trick questions to me.
stupid idea "if you cant drive, MOVE OUT" were would you go if you cant fricken drive then?
More along the lines of "if you're lazy, move out." Again I know this because I've had it happen. Everyone has their faults. Mine is sloth.
Holy fuck? 22 without a license? Honestly.
Holy fuck? 22 without a license and still living with parents who threaten to kick you out? Honestly. you're a looser, get an apartment if their so adamant about it.
Driving is a life skill, even if you don't own a car you should have a license.
How the hell do you fail the written portion of the test?
Driving (a manual) is fun anyway.
Also why do you still live with your parents, oh wait that's right your that one guy who draws those rape drawings in the creationism corner. [editline]08:51PM[/editline] Broke my auto-merge. But here's a picture of the op.
Yeah. I'm 22 and I still don't have my driver's license.
Loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooser. ooooooooooooooooo
Good luck getting a woman without a car at the age of 22 [editline]09:55PM[/editline]
Looser.
Loser*
looser

Looser.
What is a looser?!?!? [editline]fish[/editline] OP, you need to move out and learn to drive, it's important. Why are you living with your parents at 22 anyway?
Driving (a manual) is fun anyway.
Ahhh..... the satisfaction of a perfect gear change
Do you have any friends that would require you going places outside your house at all
Just do it. take a week or two and learn the useful skill
Think of the career opportunities you could fall back on if you ever get fired from your current job (If you have one), Why not pass the test but not buy a car? that's logical, plus you would have a license and chix will know you can drive so maybe you'll finally lose your virginity!
Wait, that thread you made a while back, the one about you considering joining that anime club. That's a club for college?
I do have an apartment I've been staying in, but I came home for the Winter Break. And as I said before, I usually take public transportation everywhere I need to go. Also, yes, Genshiken is a club for the Art Institute.
Your driving record, which your insurance cost is based on, starts when you get your license. So even if you never drive, you WANT to get a license. Someday you may want to drive and get a car and your insurance will be cheap with a long, clean driving record. The insurance company doesn't know you never drove, all they see is the record.
What is a looser?!?!? [editline]fish[/editline] OP, you need to move out and learn to drive, it's important. Why are you living with your parents at 22 anyway?
It is when something needs to be more loose.

Also, 22 and you still live with your parents? And you're outraged that they demand you start moving forward in life? Fuck, you're a goddamn train wreck like I've never seen.
