HENRICO COUNTY, Va. — A Virginia mom apparently did not learn her lesson.
Laquanda Newby, 25, is charged with three counts of contributing to the delinquency or abuse of child after police said she left her two children inside her hot car outside the Henrico County Courthouse on Monday.
According to WTVR, Newby was at the courthouse to turn herself in for a previous situation that involved her allegedly leaving a child in a hot car.
On May 26, Newby was accused of leaving a child in a car while she shopped at Sam’s Club. When police arrived, they found Newby by her car and could not arrest her for the alleged crime because they had not witnessed it.
Instead, the officer swore out a warrant if Newby promised to later turn herself in, according to WTVR.
When Newby turned herself in on Monday, police said she left her two children — ages 6 and 1 — in her car. Deputies could not say for sure how long the two children were in the car but surveillance video showed it was more than an hour.
How can you be this fucking retarded holy shit
This must have been a very short court case
that's the point where it isn't even funny, it's depressingly scary to think parent's can be this dumb and careless about the lives of their own kids. Imagine what she'd do with someone elses kids.

This is something from a cartoon.
Like when Marge said Homer was addicted to rage, and he said he wasn't, while punching a cat.
Eh leaving someone in car is fine if it's really short
Can't imagine something like that not being done on purpose, to prove a point or something stupid. You have to be retarded to do that.

So, by leaving her child in the car, therefor proving the court she was really guilty, she essentialy nulled the hearing by showing she's alright in leaving her child in the car?
I understand accidentally doing it once in situations where your routine is interrupted and you have your kids with you during a time that you usually don't, but managing to do it while you're at court because you were caught previously doing it? How?
Ages 1 and 6 especially are way too young to do this at all.

what a great scene
ages 1 and 6? you would have to be a fucking moron
I work at a grocery store to pull carts, so I see kids and animals in vehicles for hours ALL THE TIME. Fucking sickening how common it is.
Perhaps it's a good idea to put a poster/sticker/notice on the door or window to remind them not to leave their children or pets in the car.
how retarded do you have to be?
One of the single greatest lies of humanity is that people think that anyone can be a parent, and that it doesn't take brains to be a parent.

Depends on how "short" it is. In Florida during the summer if I leave my car for even 10 minutes and come back the car is hot as fuck even after having the A/C on before I parked.
Just don't leave any living being in the car without the car being on and the A/C on during hot weather. That's it. Or just bring them with you.
Eh leaving someone in car is fine if it's really short
No, it's actually not. Cars get really fucking unbearably hot, really fucking fast. Would you leave someone in an oven for 10 minutes? No, but you're doing the same kind of stupid shit when you leave someone in a car.
Eh leaving someone in car is fine if it's really short
No it is not. What happens when something holds up your time? Run into old friend and totally forget about the kids/animal. Slip and break/injure yourself. Any number of things could happen. I have people leaving the car running while running in real quick, what would happened if someone stole their car?
Never ever leave children/animals in car for any amount of time.

Plus cars get hot really fast, specially here in the South.

Hell, I'm in the north and cars get hot lightning quick. Me and my mother went to the store yesterday, spent maybe 15 minutes in there. The car was nice and cool from the AC when we went in, and when we came back, it felt like a furnace. And it's not even the full heat of summer yet.
Interestingly enough there was a thing on the news here in Australia about how parents can't be charged with manslaughter if their kid dies. Long story short they said in standard sunlight cars reach about 50 degrees celcius in about15-20 minutes which is death for toddler.
What a newb
This is like that guy who got caught driving under the influence during a court session for him driving under the influence :v:
