A man has been decapitated after an attacker brandishing an Islamist flag raided a French factory in Grenoble, according to reports. There are also reports of a loud explosion at the factory and several other victims. Sources said at least one arrest had been made, though there are also reports of two attackers, both carrying Islamist flags. Le Parisien newspaper reported that shots had been fired and one Islamist had been killed. Other sources said that two men rammed the factory in a car before entering and setting off several small explosive devices. A decapitated body was found nearby the factory, another source said. Le Dauphine newspaper said a man's head had been found on a fence along with an Islamist flag. Employees at the factory - Air Products - are said to be "very shocked". Henry Samuel, a correspondent fro the Daily Telegraph, told Sky News: "The person arrested was allegedly carrying a flag of the Islamic State and he said he was a member of the IS.
http://news.sky.com/story/1508786/man-beheaded-as-islamist-flag-found-in-france
Snap that's close to home.
This is entirely unnacceptable. We must take action against these monsters. We're going to have to march harder in the streets for solidarity this time!
Apparently there were also a series of "small explosions" heard after a vehicle drove into the plant. oh nvm it's in the article
I hope this isn't connected to Hebdo shootings.
I hope this isn't connected to Hebdo shootings.
It probably isn't but still France does have a problem.
France is a warzone now? Since when.
French is a warzone now? Since when.
Since now obviously. and this can spread further.
I hope this isn't connected to Hebdo shootings.
Well there's one easy connection between the two assaults which you'll find quite easy to point out.
What the fuck is their goal, why would they attack a factory?
Well there's one easy connection between the two assaults which you'll find quite easy to point out.
That would be awfully islamophobic. We all know muslims are the true victims here. (User was permabanned for this post ("Shitposting/bigotry (extended)" - Starpluck))
My mom works at Air Products (not that factory) and called to see what's going on. Apparently, the beheaded person is one of the terrorists. None of the employees are killed.

Lets hope they don't hop to the Netherlands.
Lets hope they don't hop to the Netherlands.
Dont worry (actually do worry) they are already further north than that (sweden). They just havent been using any bombs here yet.
When we can't have a polite conversation about these issues without being called a racist/xenophobic/word-of-the-month it's hard to fight this. No one believes every Muslim supports this type of acts and no one says other religions didn't do the same thing, but how can we do something as a society if we can't even discuss ways to fight this? Is banning people for obvious comedic comments really fair? Is satire bannable too? Is making fun of any other thing bannable too? People are gaining fear and people have the brass to wonder why. The fear might be overblown but we can't solve these issues if we can't talk about it without measuring every word.

The last time there was a mass-terrorist attack, every one here was calling for the mass-deportation of all Muslims among other nasty generalizations. The perpetrator turned out to be Anders Breivik. An Orthodox who also believed in the mass-deportation of all Muslims.
He a good boy mashah allah He dindu nuffin takbir
I hope you're joking...
What the fuck is their goal, why would they attack a factory?
It's ISIS, their only goal is terror.
My mom works at Air Products (not that factory) and called to see what's going on. Apparently, the beheaded person is one of the terrorists.
yeah i too remember the passage in the koran saying to fly planes into towers
There's plenty of passages about killing non-believers, though. I'm not saying they all follow it to the book, but how can you tell which ones do? I do fear Islam - I don't hate muslims, I don't think they're less than me, but I do have a little anxiety in the back of my mind if I see one nearby as I know the time we're living in and it's impossible to tell who's going to do something and start murdering in the streets. We're in a time now where this can and is happening. I'd consider myself a fairly reasonable guy, I don't hate anyone based on religion, colour, sexual orientation.. but how can I physically not be scared when stuff like this keeps happening? When ISIS exists? I'm sorry, I'll leave the thread now - I just wanted to get my thoughts out there. I'm sure a lot of people are thinking the same way but are too scared to say anything.

That's exactly the type of thing that shuts people up, it's also a great way to people bottle up their feeling about this subject. If we don't want the far right to gain more movement and power, discussions about this subject must be made, doesn't matter how uncomfortable it makes some people.
You are free to discuss it all you want. Generalizations will not warrant the same protections.
My mom works at Air Products (not that factory) and called to see what's going on. Apparently, the beheaded person is one of the terrorists. None of the employees are killed.
What, really? That sounds super weird.
Well this is bad... The pin is where the attack took place. I hope the suspect don't have any partner near the orange area: that area is called "Le couloir de la chimie" (The chemistry corridor) and it's the biggest concentration of high-risk factories in France. One explosion here and the damages would be insane.
Wow. Ths is really bad.
Is that a fair comparison? Using Anders Breivik as way to criticize generalizations made to the Muslims? But as always, anyone criticizing this is immediately banned/permabanned and labeled a racist, islamophobe and everything you can think of. It's rather contradictory that the only place where people are openly discussing matters such as these is in places like Stormfront -- and I certainly don't want to get near that place. :/
What, really? That sounds super weird.
I know right? Probably had last minute regrets and the rest of the group decided to kill him or something.
It's rather contradictory that the only place where people are openly discussing matters such as these is in places like Stormfront
I would take that as an indicator to be a little concerned if my views were only acceptable on Stormfront.
I would take that as an indicator to be a little concerned if my views were only acceptable on Stormfront.
Far from it, to be honest. But even as a non-European, I can certainly tell that there's a big issue and it'd be nice to engage in a thought-provoking conversation.
