ASDA slammed for selling World Cup cape which looks like KKK outfit - Polidicks

Supermarket Asda has defended a 'wearable England flag' it has launched for the World Cup after claims it resembles a Ku Klux Klan outfit. The £3 St George’s Cross, with the word 'England' emblazoned across it, features a hood which Asda said was to allow fans to stay dry in the unpredictable British weather. Whoever designed that hoodie must've overlooked the dodgy qualities that comes from making the actual hood POINTED. A more curved cowl a'la an actual hoodie would have been a much better design choice aesthetically, even if they mighta thought that a pointed hood would help with channelling the rainwater.

It's really sad that we can't have pointy white cloaks anymore because of the KKK. I mean, they look pretty cool, I wouldn't mind wearing one if it wasn't for the fact that I'd be called a racist for wearing one.

I'm just bewildered by the use of the word "slammed" in the title. It's like a bizarre image that a personified corporate organization with arms and legs is being physically roughed up by other organizations.
