I remember watching a show and they said something about how once dogs taste human flesh they have to be put down. It was one of those COPS shows but for animals.

I highly doubt that.
That would mean every police dog would have to be put down if it ever attacked a criminal.

They can, but they have to be trained extensively.

That's why we put down all guard dogs and police dogs.
No, what you saw were fighting dogs which can not socialize due to the fact that they have been forced to attack everything that moves.

Yes, fight dogs are too broken to be saved.
That would mean all 3 of my dogs would need to be put down because when i wrestle with them they tend to bite and draw blood/chunks of skin. Nonsense.
