He then released a simple pong game for the PS4, and also announced he was working on a homebrew loader. With a gameboy emulator released just a few days after these statements, he’s making progress fast, it seems. CTurt had initially announced he would reverse engineer the graphics library on the PS4 in order to run his homebrew loader. It seems he has taken a shortcut as this is running through a HTML canvas. In other words, the PS4 does the processing job, and the rendering goes through webkit, which means the graphics lib was not used. Impressive nonetheless. Just like for the Pong game, CTurt is controlling the homebrew through a Nintendo DS, as hackers do not have access to the Dulashock controllers through the hack yet. Truly the next gen experience.
Finally, the Playstation 4 gets games.
Now we need Doom and we'd be set for PS4 games. Seriously though PS4 homebrew will be awesome if Sony does as bad of a job of patching their security flaws as the PSP.

Lol PS3 homebrew was a joke Wii's homebrew was where it was at. Would I be wrong in asserting that the Wii is the most moddable console of the 7th generation? In any case, what is there to play on Playstation 4 right now?

If you get a modded PS3 or Xbox 360, you'll find there is almost no homebrew, and most of the stuff for them is just for hacking games online, piracy, or Linux that doesn't support many things and is pretty outdated. That said, there's a few good homebrew programs out there for the 360 at least, I have an emulator for pretty much all the older consoles including the original PlayStation on mine (with great speeds, too) and a dashboard replacement that allows launching my legally ripped games and homebrew with cover art, and all that. Apart from that, though, it's all about the hacking in online games or piracy. Modding Halo can also be hella fun, there's a surprisingly indepth set of tools for modding any Halo game on 360.
It's nice but where is the game retro compatibility? I'm waiting...

Does it really count as a homebrew app if it's running on webkit? It seems more like a homebrew way to run web apps with more power than the default PS4 browser.
