Trump suggests FBI may have ‘paid for’ dossier alleging Russia ties
WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump is questioning what he says is a “fake” dossier of allegations about his connections to Russia.
Here’s his latest tweet: “Workers of firm involved with the discredited and Fake Dossier take the 5th. Who paid for it, Russia, the FBI or the Dems (or all)?”

The political research firm behind the dossier balked this week at subpoenas from the House Intelligence Committee. A lawyer for the firm questioned the legitimacy of the committee’s investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election.
The dossier contends the Russian government amassed compromising information about Trump and was engaged in an effort to support and assist him.
The Associated Press has reported that special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigators have spoken with the former British spy who helped compile the dossier
What’s the president trying to distract Americans from now?
My guess is he’s trying to draw attention away from those phone calls.
Place your bets!

The investigation gaining traction.

Reading between the lines, Trump's frequent attempts at discrediting and generally unraveling, Mueller empaneling grand juries, pre-dawn no-knock FBI raids, Sessions awkward hearing, new Russia sanctions, you know, the obvious...
But maybe it's just me.

Almost everything Trump tweets is pee-emptively discrediting something that's true.
This time it's the dossier.
I love that the President himself hasn't been questioned yet. They all know they get one interview with him and they want to make it count. Surely there can be no other reason?
Is he still trying to pick a fight with the FBI? Jesus, what an idiot. It won't be long before we're showered with more news concerning this.

And that's just the shit that we know about. There's really no telling just how much remains confidential. The scope and revelations of this investigation have been shocking.
Why would Russia pay for opposition research into a candidate they had already invested so much support into, or at least so much into attacking his biggest competition?
It's rhetorical because as the WaPo article points out it was initially someone in the GOP, then the Democrats who approached Fusion GPS but I wonder why he would include Russia

Frankly, Russia doesn't give a shit about preserving Trump's power, only that he took power. They worked with Trump to help him win because they knew that he would be a deeply chaotic and destructive force in American politics. Trump in the White House is socially, politically, economically, and diplomatically destabilizing our country. Trump is a nightmare of a president, and that's exactly why Russia worked as hard as they did to make sure he seized power. The alternative to Trump was a more focused and driven political machine, acting against Russia's interests abroad. Our chaos is their gain. The notion that Russia would, after taking Trump to the White House, immediately start working to undermine and destabilize his power makes perfect sense when you consider what their actual objectives are.
Trump's allegations that the FBI, the Democrats, and Russia have all been working together since the beginning to make Fake News are completely ridiculous, as usual, but the notion that Russia might work to fuck over Trump in other ways, right after working to prop him up in the first place, does have a pretty clear rationale.
Russia, the FBI or the Dems (or all)
It is literally fucking hilarious that Trump is suggesting the FBI conspired with Russia and the Democratic Party to spread propaganda about him. What a pathetic joke this man is.
Isn't it already well-established that Fusion GPS was contracted by Democrats to conduct opposition research on Trump? Is Trump just gaslighting / retarded or is it actually debatable who paid for the dossier? Because from day one I thought it was always common knowledge it was obtained as part of research for the Democrats.
very hitlarian of him...
Of course it was paid for.
No one would work for free, espcially while investigating something this dangerous. Dunno if Trump knows that you need to pay salary to workers.
