MOSCOW, August 11 (RIA Novosti) – Lon Snowden, the father of fugitive US intelligence expert Edward Snowden, has been granted a visa by Russian authorities and will travel to Russia to meet his son within weeks, according to a Sunday report on US television channel ABC. “We have visas, we have a date,” Lon Snowden’s attorney Bruce Fein said during an interview on ABC News, according to a transcript posted online. The meeting will take place in the "next week," he added. Edward Snowden, 30, was granted asylum by Russia on August 1 after reportedly spending more than a month living inside the transit zone of Moscow’s Sheremetyevo airport. Both Lon Snowden and Bruce Fein told ABC News that they had not had any direct contact with Edward Snowden since he fled the United States after revealing details of secret state surveillance programs, but that they had been in touch with Anatoly Kucherena, Edward Snowden's Russian attorney.
http://en.ria.ru/russia/20130811/182710231/Russia-Grants-Snowdens-Father-Visa-to-Visit-Son---Report.html
Now the million dollar question- is he going just to visit, or are there ulterior motives?
Well the NSA did pretty much beg Snowdens dad to get him to come back
He'll go to Moscow and as soon as he's there he'll seek asylum. No reason to go back and be treated unequally when your country calls your son a traitor.
Well the NSA did pretty much beg Snowdens dad to get him to come back
his father went on cnn and fox and all the major media outlets saying that while he agreed with his son's actions he didn't agree with his choice to flee and that he wanted him to just come home. maybe he'll convince him to come home but i think the longer snowden stays away the better his outlook will be. i mean the super-transparent obama admin is waving the same shit he did to manning at snowden and look how well it stuck on manning.
All a plot to get Snowden infected with FoxDIE. That or the father will be bugged or something so they can figure out where Snowden is hiding and send in a team to nab him out from under Russia's nose.

You have to know that, if his stance was genuine and he supports the NSA over his son, then the US would have ulterior motives and use him in some way to get to Snowden.
