Surface Pro versus MacBook Air: Who's being dishonest with storage space?
Here’s the tl;dr version. The MacBook Air 128 gives you 83.4 percent of the advertised storage space for user data. The Surface Pro 128 gives you 75.2 percent of its advertised capacity for storing data. And with one minor tweak that doesn’t affect the system’s capabilities in any way, you can increase the amount of data storage space on the Surface Pro to 81.8% of the advertised capacity.
much longer full article: http://www.zdnet.com/surface-pro-versus-macbook-air-whos-being-dishonest-with-storage-space-7000011009/?s_cid=e539
Oh, so they're both lying bastards
However the good thing with the surface is that you can boost the storage with a MicroSD card and you can get some really high capacity cards so I wouldn't be complaining tbh
But yeah
If it were valid, then surely Apple would have been scrutinized carefully over its 11.6-inch MacBook Air 128
How does that even logic. 'People are criticizing one thing but not criticizing another thing with the same flaws that makes them full of shit'
But yeah How does that even logic. 'People are criticizing one thing but not criticizing another thing with the same flaws that makes them full of shit'
How are they full of shit? It's total 128 gb of storage, and there has to be OS reserved space.
Surface is one of the best tabs out there. I'm gonna wait for the second gen tho.
The thing is people are thinking of the Surface Pro as more of a tablet, while they think of the Macbook as a laptop. The Surface pro really has the entirety of desktop Windows, it's not tiny. It's not Android which can fit in like a 200MB partition.

Why is this even news I thought it was common knowledge that computers partition their OS.
Why is this even news I thought it was common knowledge that computers partition their OS.
Just because you think it is doesn't mean it is.
It's no different with a desktop PC, buy a 750 Gb HDD and it's actual storage size is 698.. And then put however much space towards the os
