Neighbours "can see the colonel's face looking at them from every room"
People living near a fast food restaurant have said its advertising sign is so big they feel like "Colonel Sanders is looking at them all day".
Don Burr, who lives nearby, said: "The man on the sign - Colonel Sanders - is looking at me all day. When I come up the garden he's still looking at me. I've never seen a sign as big as that, and he's all lit-up and neon at night."
This is round the corner from my Grandpas house, he's pretty amused by it because he doesn't like the people that live in one of the houses affected by it :v:
how did they get the planning permission for that eyesaw? Welcome to your property value shrink.
And then one day you wake up in the morning and it's perched directly outside your bedroom window.
The eyes of Colonel Sanders peer down through the dust.
"you're next"
"Alone, all day he wait, and watches, he sees all he knows all, he is the silent defender and observer... He is the Colonel."

Doesn't seem that overly large.
Then again, I'm not used to seeing fast food franchises in the middle of residential areas.
it's like that seinfeld episode
"Giant chicken boss 'watching' locals"
Similar argy-barge in my town:

If the sign is right there, what about the smell? I imagine living that close to a fried chicken place would smell foul.

the KFC sign in my estate peeks over the flats across the road from me so when it's dark there's a giant illuminated Colonel Sanders staring at my window.

The reddish brown substance on the floor is a combination of grease and the Colonel's secret recipe. Origin of these materials is unknown. The enclosure must be cleaned on a bi-weekly basis.
this reminds me of an issue I had at my mom's house. across the road, down maybe a quarter mile, through trees, there was a public storage locker place. Not sure why they decided on that location, but whatever.
One day they decided they wanted a big ol' multicolor digital sign to advertise deals and such. This was nice and all, but at night they left it on. It projected blinking colors through all of that distance straight into my bedroom so hard that it lit it up like the sun was coming back up at times, with the blinds closed. What made matters worse that it wasn't just one thing, it was tons of ads changing colors and intenity, sometimes blinking solid blinding white.
I actually went and got super thick black-out curtains to cover the windows, and it still leaked in through the top.
It was actually something you had to shield your eyes from if you were driving down the road, and I guess it was a mix between that and complaints from other neighbors that finally got them to turn it off after sundown a while later.

Soon after some of the residents vanish and a new "chicken" meal appears on the menu.

And while sitting alone in your room late at night, you hear a faint whisper coming from behind you, "Finger Lickin' Good".
As you turn around, frightened, you find no-one there. On the floor you see a red and white bucket filled with questionable meat products.
That doesn't look like a neon sign.

you idiot
you missed the perfect pun
Wouldn't this violate zoning laws?
I'll be waiting at their windows. Forever watching. Waiting for the perfect moment to sell them my chicken.
