Right, so I've been a violinist for four years and lately I have stopped playing classical music and have been playing more modern music, the problem is I'm having a little trouble finding modern sheet music. I'm looking for slow paced music for the violin, from the 1960's to 2000 time period, mostly sad or romantic songs. Can anyone direct me to some free sheet music like that?
An example would be Mad World by Gary Jules, (I already have this sheet music though).
Help is majorly appreciated.
It's hard to find "legal" sheet music as most have strict copyrights. It is really quite sad, seeing as the same people who enforce silly restrictions are the ones crying broke. It is actually illegal to copy out of print music. That is just fucking dumb.
Wish I could help more.
That's very true, it's sad home ones music is suppressed because of that.
I have some tuba music I could send, but you'd find 99% of it boring; the rhythms are probably way too simplistic for what you're looking for. That and I would have to write it out in a music composing program.
And you would probably having trouble transposing.
Most likely, and violins shouldn't try to play music meant for a bass clef (it's a bass clef right?) it ends up sounding odd when you raise the notes that much.

I wouldn't exactly see why as long as you're playing it in the correct key and pitch. Then again I'm no music theory expert. All I know is tuba.

I tried converting my brothers cello music into violin music once, bad idea...
I tried rewriting the song at least five times before I gave up.
