To this day this song will not get out of my head if I hear it. Also: If you didn't go to school in America don't bother with this thread since you would have never heard it.
Not me. I live in the Netherlands.
Oh god
And here's my British alternative

I remember learning it, but I don't remember the words any longer. [editline]05:44PM[/editline] Except, I remember the part where they start naming states.

I never had to learn it because either A. I go to a small public school B. I went to school after the cold war.
And here's my British alternative
God dammit and I'd almost completely voided every part of my primary school memory.
We had could have the lines I think, but we did sing this
B. I went to school after the cold war.
I think everyone on facepunch did, most of us here are in our teens
I have never heard this song before. Probably because I'm Canadian.
all I remember is the first part, I never remembered the states in any particular order.
Wasn't forced to learn any of those songs.
I never had to do that because A. My music/choir teacher was convicted of sexual assault and jailed and that's it.
Oh wow I remember this from like 2nd grade.
I never had to do that because A. My music/choir teacher was convicted of sexual assault and jailed and that's it.
I seemed to remember we did this in Kindergarten or 1st grade (or 2nd?), and during class too, not music class
Oh man, they took us out of class in 5th grade like every morning and made us practice this song until we all knew it. Still didn't prevent me from failing the test on the 50 US states though :v:.
I hated remembering this.
Never heard of this song. Then again I was homeschooled. :v:
I never learned it because I got sick and showed up when there was something going on were he had to sing it and I stood there with my mouth open just standing doing jack shit.
Holy. Fucking. Shit. It's like I'm in second grade again.
