Firewatch is a mystery set in the Wyoming wilderness, where your only emotional lifeline is the person on the other end of a handheld radio. Developed by Campo Santo and set to release in 2015 for Windows, Mac, and Linux.
Two of the devs working on this game wrote The Walking Dead Season 1 so this should be interesting.
Arms when running look like he's having a comedic stroll.
Arms when running look like he's having a comedic stroll.
They could definitely do with improving his arms considering aside from the environment, thats what you are going to be seeing mostly. His finger nails look like bright white reflective paint.
Dude's got Wreck-It Ralph arms
looking forward to this since i saw the initial reveal, hope it is good
Another one of those first person shooters without guns!
I wish they hadn't tackled the mystery stuff so directly, the people dying part was kinda like hitting it with a shovel. [editline]31st August 2014[/editline] but it's ok, I'll forgive them if the actual game is more subtle. Really looking forward to it, been following their blog for a while now.
Another one of those first person shooters without guns!
Just like portal!
Just like portal!
Portal had a gun.
This game looks really interesting, especially knowing who is behind it. I'm looking forward to it.
Another one of those first person shooters without guns!
That's like calling a burger a cheeseburger without cheese. Since this isn't a shooter I doubt you would call it a first person shooter...
Portal had a gun.
My point is that first person =/= fps and expecting every first person game to have a gun is completely stupid. Stanley Parable, Dear Esther, mirrors edge (unless you play it like a tard) and a few more are all good games that are A: first person and B: do not involving shooting. I'm still disheartened that whenever a game comes up that is FP but not a shooter everyone shits on it. Warco comes to mind.
i'm sorry but using guns in mirrors edge doesn't make you a tard
Considering that the takedowns are instakill and you can run fast enough with no gun to never get hit if you do it right, it kind of does.
But some of the later confrontations in mirrors edge have like 3 guys standing next to each-other and you die when you do a take-down on any of them. Sure you can lure them out and wait, but its certainly quite a bit harder then just picking up a gun and shooting them.
Considering that the takedowns are instakill and you can run fast enough with no gun to never get hit if you do it right, it kind of does.
Yes, because basically being forced to use guns near the end of the game unless you take a specific path makes you a tard. BTW, those swat guys you fight at the end of the game are very hard to use insta-kill disarms against. This is coming from a guy who fucking loves the hell out of Mirror's Edge, has beaten it multiple times, and is desperate for a sequel. The game isn't perfect, which is why it pretty much turns into a shooter near the end. It sorta doesn't know what to do with itself because it was the first of its kind, so the climax was bad.
Olly Moss, who's done all of this stuff, is working on the art for this game! Watch it be about a guy who discovers the alpine RED/BLUE bases from TF2
Watch it be about a guy who discovers the alpine RED/BLUE bases from TF2
Watch it not
I hope can do the right thing and just sit in the tower the entire game and not abandon my job duties to wander around the woods in search of mystery and adventure. It'll be like Paper's Please. But no one ever comes, you just stand there.

Are you playing as heavy in this game? The hands sure look like his lol.
The hands are fine I think. Fits the style. Pretty excited for this, it looks really good
i was expecting a spooky point-and-click a la ky zero, but this works too
Love the art style, a warm colour palette with TF2esque design, it's nice
