More than meets the eye, with this one. Also, next time he's doing Deus Ex. Because yes, apparently.
He actually made a map for the game. I like the time he puts into stuff for these games. Especially the last one he did in the game that had individual mobs that took hundreds of hits each to die.
Yeah, Well of Souls had one insane difficulty spike around Level 3. It almost makes me think that that was some sort of anti-piracy measure or something, since after Level 3 everything more or less goes back to normal.
Welp, looking forward to that episode of Deus Ex now.
SPIDERBOT!
SPIDERBOT!
You're on the side of a deserted highway. It's the dead of night. A sequence of carefully placed clues and cryptic notes have led you to this location. Harshly cast in the jaundiced light of a highway lamp, stands a mysterious payphone. The payphone has no coin slot. You go to the payphone and pick up the handset, and dial the number you have carefully deciphered over many months. There are several long seconds of silence. Suddenly a sound from the other end. It's Spiderbot.
Is this the first ever time Ross has explicitly said what game he'll be reviewing next?
Why do I feel like it's not actually going to be the Deus Ex we know and love and something something else entirely?
How much you wanna bet it's this? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deus_Ex_Machina_(video_game)
Why do I feel like it's not actually going to be the Deus Ex we know and love and something something else entirely?
Yeah it's gotta be something else and he's just fucking with us as usual (and I love it).
It could be Invisible War. While technically part of the Deus Ex series, its hardly a well received or popular title.
His blog post on Accursed Farms says:
Next up is the Deus Ex trilogy, while it still remains one, which isn’t for long.
So it may actually be the normal Deus Ex franchise? Unless he found a trio of REALLY obscure shit.
Knowing Ross, he's going to throw a curve ball with this. I think i'll be surprised if it is actual Deus Ex at this point.
I love the little bit at the end :v: Also Ross has been talking about making Game Dungeon about Deus Ex for a good while now. He's done videos on more well known games before, but nothing on the scale of Deus Ex. I seriously wonder how the video will turn out
