To put it in a nutshell, you no longer have to backup your Itunes bought music to prevent you having to rebuy all your music in case of hardware failure, you can just redownload it through the store to any device you own. That and their MobileMe service (think Dropbox) could have its sub costs lowered or even removed.

My biggest gripe with the Itunes store might get booted out? Please, PLEASE let this be true.

kind of fucking stupid that they make you re-buy your music even after a hardware failure or something. I restored my laptop some months ago and they STILL won't let me re-download Up, District 19, or the Planet Earth series that I bought and are telling me that "It seems you have already bought this, would you like to buy it again?" no you retard let me re-download it I already paid for it "WE CAN'T DO THAT SORRY GIVE US MORE OF YOUR MONEY".

it's totally impossible to back it up to another hard drive or to dvds, or mediafire if you're truly desperate

if you don't do a back up then you're accepting the risks that come with that.
